I love this song! After playing it several times at work, one of my co-workers gave me a plastic figurine of the Buddha, holding a phone and a cup of coffee. LOL
This lengthy idyll is, along with the Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray" and Suicide's "Frankie Teardrop, one of the all-time endurance tests for listeners. If you can make your way through the entire thing, you are my (s)hero. I think it's a hoot, sweet in its innocence, and its one-liners may not have been intended as one-liners, but meant to be taken seriously in deep reflection (though I may be wrong, which would not be earth-shattering). I love it. Does anyone know what became of her?
