@wba731 Absolutely true, if the allies didn't open in Africa and France then Russia would not be spared .

@wba731 That is historically incorrect and indefensible. The Battle of Moscow (19410 and the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-43) were fought with Soviet resources and weaponry. Allied assistance didn't kick in until the summer of 1943 and became more effective in 1944. If Britain, Canada and the USA did not enter the war, the Soviets may or may not have defeated Germany on their own. What's absolutely clear is that Germany could never have conquered the Soviet Union as the above battles show.
