Sunny Day Real Estate, Christie Front Drive, Mineral, Jejune, Owen, Cap'n Jazz, The Appleseed Cast for classic Post-Emo that is similar to this. For new bands check out Empire! Empire! (I was a Lonely Estate), Moving Mountains, Algernon Cadwallader(sory of like a more up-beat version of this band), Joie De Vivre and This Town Needs Guns.

Yeah SDRE is actually my favourite band of all time, The Rising Tide and LP2 are AMAZING. For a band that sounds like Empire! Empire! check out Joie De Vivre they're awesome.

Oh, shit man I forgot about your comment. I loved that Penpal band, very similar indeed. It sucks though because after I downloaded the album, I listened to one track and really liked it so I tried to listen to more and it wouldn't let me for some reason. If the rest of the songs were as or almost as good as the first song I would proabaly buy that album.
I was actually talking about Rites of Spring, and I think we can both agree that they don't sound much like American Football.

yeah for sure lol. yeah the whole cd is great that's weird the download didn't work for you. i dont think its on itunes or anything i'd just try downloading it again but i can upload it to mediafire or something if it doesn work

I think sometimes I find some pretty obscure music but I just downloaded that Penpal album off the website which is basically just one picture and it says "click here to download."
I'm only on the second song, but it's cool. How does somebody find a band like this? ;)
