Ah, nice. They explained it in Galileo too. The speed of the Car is just a bit faster than that of the truck, so if the truck goes by 50 and the car by 55, the difference is just 5, which makes it enough time to break once you've drove into the truck. I hate physics, so I didn't know that before. xD But interesting to know.

@Ranja86 This is not the concern. The speed of the car wheels relative to their ground is 55 when the car is hitting the ramp. If the wheels would maintain their turning speed, the speed of the wheels and the truck would sum up to 105. The reason why this does not happen is explained in the show, because the car tends to maintain its velocity of 55 and would require a lot of additional energy to reach 105.

As usual, Galileo sucks at getting their facts right.
