Kind of relaxing music, though the game doesn't feel strategic at all. It's as simple as building blocks and relies mostly on time. I just alt tab or AFK for 30 minutes to build up enough seedlings most of the time. If I hadn't bought it on sale, I'd feel horrible.

I love the minimalistic graphics in this game, it really lets your imagination run wild with the vividness of the battles. With the right mindset, this game is as epic as Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation in terms of space battles. It's also the closest thing to an Ender's Game video game we'll ever get, so even more points for that.

I loved dyson, and love this, but why on earth did you have to overdub the wonderful sounds with this low quality rendition of the most cliché vivaldi piece ever?!?

also I liked dyson's ambient only soundtrack, which is IMO destroyed by the uninspired ambient grooves in eufloria.

Unless they made some major changes to the original version, "Dyson", then it's probably not going to be that great. Dyson was fun for about the first couple levels, then it gets boring and monotonous.

Dyson was a freeware game created in under a month for a competition on TIGSource. Eufloria is a massively expanded and polished version of the game, on which its two creators have been working for the past year and a half. It was also a runner-up for the Grand Prize in IGF 2009, so it's very good shit.

So, yes, it used to be called Dyson, but it's a very different thing, now, and far better. More importantly, it's worth your money, especially given the huge amount of work that's gone into it.
