This song is amazing, and Shiri is so lovely. Personally I don't see any reason why shouldn't ppl vote for Israel, or that same thing happend in 2005. Israel won ESC in 1999 and years before that, so that theory is wrong. Greek song was just better or at least catchy to many so they voted for it... It has nothing to do with country, it has to do with song. And if Serbia could win in 2007 Israel can win anytime.

I'm not very interested in Eurovision, to be honest I've only watched few of contests, but with no doubt that song is the best I've ever heard on the ESC. 'Beautiful' is threadbare word, but her performance was exactly -beautiful-. She really deserved 1place, and she didn't achieved it only because of boorish antisemitism of many Europeans... I agree that this song should have won. Voting in the contest has become per area - scandivanian vote for each other, russian, greece/turkey, uk... somehow they all vote for their neighbors.. .this prevents the song from winning. hopefully this changes.

@upsilone I love this song but you can't say she was punished for being Israeli or she would be fourth last, not fourth. If she was punished she wouldn't have made it past the semi-finals.

One major reason I think she didn't win is because bi-lingual performances don't do well in Eurovision. That is a fact. I can't think of any other bi-lingual song that has ever made the top 5.

Shiri insisted at least half be sung in Hebrew. It put her at a disadvantage. But she still did very well!
