  • looks like an awsome collection! love the flag and helmets! got any from ww1 or ww2? i've always wanted to shoot a mp40

  • What gun would you choose for concealed carry? I see you like the Sig. Love your collection, including the flag. Those of us who study history don't get our knickers in a bunch over such memorabilia. Those who forget the past are destined to repeat it.

  • You made some very good points Ted and opened my mind up to something I always considered stupid and without merit. Many thanks, cheers!

  • Ted, did the USSA change your views on polymer pistols at all?

  • @stander1983 Not really. I'm not 'anti' them. It's just that I seem to shoot so much better with my steel Sig.

  • @danzigg08 no drama

  • @xewa01 just i simple question, save the trolling for the big dawgs ok kiddy? its also considered ignorance displaying the banner then gettinf frustrated at the questions about it. i just saw it on my yt front page

  • hi ted is the hat on the left a Canadian / next to the tank flag

  • @AndrewMay100 No. It's very similar to Mounties hat, isn't it? But it's actually a New Zealand Army 'Lemon Squeezer. It's the ceremonial hat of the NZ Infantry.

  • if i steped foot in your house i would shit

  • @crazyflackees That would be fine - if you used the bathroom - flushed - then washed your hands. If you just dropped into a squat and took a dump in the lobby, then you'd probably find yourself with a bayonet through your neck.

  • @kiwitedferny LMAO

  • @kiwitedferny lol i meant that like all the guns in case you didnt know.

  • HA HA SOVIET UNION JUST ASS RAPED NEW ZEALAND..!!!11! URE ALL GAYS....

  • @MrTakeaLoadofcum I have spent 6 weeks in the former-Soviet Union. You can keep it. Why Napoleon and Hitler were so keen to invade the place is beyond me. I wouldn't kennel my dog there.

  • Is anyone else a bit concerned about the nazi flag in the background or is it just me? And whats with advice on not shooting someone in the head, instead shoot their bodies. Is this guy really serious?

  • @93gtir OK I admit it. I am a Nazi. My father fled here from Germany after WW2 and raised me to take over where Uncle Adolf left off. Jesus Fucking Christ On A Bike - For the LAST time; IT'S A TANK AIR RECOGNITION BANNER. I COLLECT WW2 MEMORABILIA. I AM NOT A FUCKING NEO-NAZI. Did you not listen to WHY it is NOT always legally a good idea to shoot someone in the head straight off? Listen again if you have to. AND STOP BUGGING ME ABOUT BEING A NAZI!!!

  • @kiwitedferny Well if you're not a racist prick like most people may assume you are, you sure are an angry little bugger ain't ya? Calm down you trigger happy meat head. It was a concern, not an acquisition. Peace

  • @93gtir Just soooooooooooo tired of explaining the damn flag, Mate.

  • @kiwitedferny Just a question, What type of bike does Jesus Fucking Christ ride and is he in a club?

  • @redtony58 He rides a uni-cylcle and attends club days where they all ride out to the countryside and he feeds 'em with loaves and fishes.

  • @93gtir 93gtir you are a moron. Ted is a historian. Get a friggin life

  • @stander1983 lmao you telling me to get a life? I earn a fucking weekly wage in 5 hours so who the heck are you to tell me to get a life? I have an opinion and I will express it freely. If I see a Nazi flag then yes I get concerned! Is that considered a bad thing these days? I bloody hope not!

  • @93gtir Who do I have to be? Good for you on earning a good wage. Seriously. But I'm not a Nazi.

  • @kiwitedferny I know you're not a nazi, you've explained that and I respect your views, some people have judged me for being concerned about the flag originally. It's just annoying to see narrow minded people. I don't know why I'm trying to defend myself, common sense should really prevail here.

  • @93gtir whats common about being concerned about a noted collector and historian showing a flag? So basically if a WWII Historian places a soviet flag up does that draw the same level of concern that said individual is a Communist who over their history probably did at least as much bad as the Nazis

  • @stander1983 Nothing wrong with being a collector on historical events, but when that same person goes around youtube calling people niggers (no matter how ignorant they are acting) then @93gtir being worried is valid.

  • @StreetzSMP Fair enough. Good point. But the 2 things are not conneceted. It annoys me that a word that I was brought up NEVER to use is now on every 2nd song on the radio, BUT, if you are white - you can;t say it. It's crazy. Either it's an 'OK' word for everyone, or it's banned for everyone.

  • @93gtir Silly little man.

  • @93gtir no respect for historians these days

  • @93gtir Occupation: Receptionist????

  • Hey Ted you got a Enfield Jungle carbine?

  • @dasfsadg Yes, I have a 1945 manufactured fazak.

  • @kiwitedferny nice! I just picked one up wednesday, Not the best shape but shootable. Mine is also a fazak, not sure about the year yet. I figured you'd have one lol

  • i like your channel for 2 reasons, 1, the videos are great, 2 , you tell people off very well. keep up the good work

  • look who cant spell now ha ha,oh and i have a full time job,go play wit urself RAMBO,,,,,

  • Did you post on one of THEHOSSUSMC, that you hate the USA???? I am comfused because you come here all the time...

  • @carolinadare Jesus Christ.......No, I don't hate the US. I love it. I just can't for the life of me figure out how any serious person could claim that there's a threat of invasion of the US by China. That is soooooo off the scale on the 'probability index' that it makes me wonder about peoples mental state.

  • oh well if it beats taking your viagra good on ya freak,,,

  • oh well if it replaces viagra for ya good on ya son..ha ha ha

  • @hotethunderbird69 Clearly you are a Labour Voter. Blocked.

  • man you have a fine WW2 relics .to cool .:)

  • is this dude a nazi? or did I miss something??

  • @danzigg08 Not a Nazt. it's just a relic of WW2.

  • @danzigg08 No. He's a WW2 historical collector and enthusiast.

  • some very good thoughts sir. at the range you just cant do that kind of training that is actually important stuff to learn. thanks for sharing

  • ur a fucken idiot

  • @hotethunderbird69 This from a guy that can't spell 'you're'...;

  • @kiwitedferny Well, statistically speaking, "you're" seems to be the most obscure and difficult part of English grammar on youtube.

  • @csmybuttt He seems to have a problem spelling the 'F' word also. He's just another envious loser hiding behind a keyboard (probably paid for by Social Welfare).

  • @kiwitedferny hoe about gay cause thats what ur vid is ...what a hero,,,,

  • @hotethunderbird69 Mate - u spk good txt, eh? Loser. Go and play with your child-like genitalia and think up new ways to get money out of the Government.

  • The first shot often win the firefight.

  • FPSNewZealand?

  • FIrst off Mate the new man cave looks fantastic, appreciate your video and thoughts. I've seen some of the video clips by the folks who talk you, the gangster approach has it's place, but not in everyday applications that's for sure, maybe to surprise the shit out of some Taliban in some close quarter situations, lolol. I hope your Christmas was good, what say of the recent trend of quakes you've all be having last week, any more, serious damage: etc. Cheers Mate!

  • Ted. Great video. Some people get it, some don't.

  • o yeh nazi flag ftw

  • from down under

  • Comment removed

  • Did you learn to shoot backwards through your legs?

  • @MrOregona230 No. My schlong got in the way.

  • @kiwitedferny wtf can nz have guns like that you cant get that shit in aus

  • @MrThewaffen I believe these sorts of weapons need to be certified inert for import or be restricted to a particular rate of fire.

  • @poriwira1 Nope. They are all fully functional.

  • You never know Ted when the zombie sheep apocalypse comes gunfighting will be quite useful in NZ.

  • "just like that kinda shi..stuff." lol

  • Every Dick, Jane and Don will tell you their system is best-- what you did is the only right way: Building a firm base of fundamentals and experiencing competent instruction from different approaches with an open mind.

It's sad to say, that there is so much ego in methodology and that ego can manifest itself in a reluctance to keep an open minded attitude towards other well thought-out processes.

Thank you again, Ted, for sharing your experiences!

-and a Merry Christmas to you and the family!

  • hey ive been out of the loop for a few weeks, would someone mind filling me in, I thought some cop told ted not to post gun videos anymore, what happened?

  • i didnt realize how ignorant some of these people are ted.................jeez

  • You mean nein (no), not nien. LOL

  • @lamarama1 Ja!!

  • I just have to say.. you have a fantastic collection, I've always been a fan of Nazi or any WW2 militaria.. but so far your collection is the most extensive I've seen on YouTube.. Pretty Freakin Awesome'

  • Could you do a favor for those of us who speak english, and add some subtitles? Thank you!!! NUTSAREFANCY rules!!! :)

  • @911ambulancegirl You'll get used to the NZ accent. Always good to get a little bit of Kiwi in ya. :)

  • @911ambulancegirl Please don't come to New Zealand, ever.

  • nazi?

  • @s4yJaiPau Nien!!!!

  • It's call Center Axis Relock or C.A.R.

  • when we had firearms instruction while in the academy they had shown us how to do a "semi-homie" approach for single hand shooting, when fireing your sidearm to cock your wrist inward a little, something with the biometrics of the wrist joint makes the recoil, and proficientcy of being able to hit your target, was very interesting and odd to say the least

  • I really thought you explained yourself and your actions quite well. In a very humble manner. great video.the word class comes to mind

  • how long have you been collecting?awesome collection!are you in the states?thanks for the video!merry christmas!

  • Great video! I'm glad you cleared that up because my thought was, what in the hell are they doing shooting gangsta style. Thanks for sharing, take care.

  • A very well spoken Video. All points were well made and accurate. I only have one problem... Your collection has made me reevaluate my collection. Very Nice collection my friend. Cheers!

  • almost everything has a time and place where it can be done. for normal situations keep it standard but when shtf you should be able to fire in non standard ways. theres a time and place for almost everything

  • ya a strait talking man & i like that *****

  • Many below echo my understanding of why you had canted pistol practice, it has its uses. It's just that, practice. Can understand it from the experienced shooters point of view but it's not like you were actively encouraging bad practice for everyday shooting as it's not for everyday shooting. Given the choice i prefer to indian sit with a rifle if i can, horses for courses.

  • What model and brand ar is that?

  • You have nothing to explain to the naysayers, Ted. They simply cannot "think outside the box" when it comes to self defense. Great videos, and I look forward to seeing more of them in the coming year. Merry Christmas!

  • Situations are fluid not regimented for the most part so this stuff makes total sense.

  • Great video, found this very helpful, subbing

  • Hey Kiwi Ted, did you get your Ferrari 458 Italia yet? I believe it hits the streets here in the United States in a couple months.

  • I made a funny video about it once, but we actually practice it. Especially on an entry carrying a ballistic shield, looking thru the small window, its the only way you can shoot effectively. When I shoot offhand, I definetely cant my weapon closer to gangsta style, it helps me to stay on target and control it better

  • Great video Ted. I am legally blind in my left eye. If I shoot my pistol left handed the only way I can line up my right eye with the sights is to shoot "Gangster style". Otherwise I have to move my left hand over in front of my right eye, which then moves the gun and arm out of alignment which greatly decreases steady aim and follow up control. Before it would have seemed ridiculous, but I'm proficient at it now, and it works. Not always a case of "my kung-fu is better than your kung-fu".

  • Nice discussion of "ready positions" on the YouTube "Ruger Tactical Tips - 4: Ready Positions"

Teaching the Mozambique Drill is all well and good, however, unless the threat is very close, most average shooters would be better off by continuing to fire into the torso and then to the pelvic region (so as to immobilize the threat). A head shot, even in best of conditions, is difficult to say the least. One should not get into the habit of following the first two shots with a head shot.

  • Good stuff.....

  • kiwi ...great to see you back in ussual form...you invented swag...hahaha...but in all seriousness glad to see the power that be didnt stop you , thanks for the vids...god bless god speed...

  • Interesting Ted, I might have to try some of that shit. I will video it if I do

  • I agree with the dynamic gunfight idea, and practicing for what the fight maybe like is always a good idea. Love your vids Ted.

  • Its great that there is so much choice, probably means someone will be doing the right thing. I've done several martial art styles and have taken bits from each sometimes deliberately but mostly subconsciously and it all builds together.

    Shoot Gangsta if it works

ps: But don't start doing Rap videos

  • @malcolmry If I do - you have my permission to shoot me.

  • Call it Gangsta, call it unorthodox, you have to admit that the body and arm positioning has alot to do with maintaining control and allowing the weapon to do it's job. Remember the Uzi demonstration I showed you with off-hand controlability? 'Nuff said. Thanks Ted.

  • A gun fight in NZ?

Sounds a little unlikely Ted.....Although, those natives over there could be armed some day.

Easier to shoot them when they have spears instead of guns.

  • I encourage people to try new things, as long as you stay safe. Exerimentation is how you learn what works best for you.

  • @Jesses001 Just like sex, eh Bro?

  • @kiwitedferny I would not know.

  • @kiwitedferny I noticed you're gangster. I'm pretty gangster myself.

Saw that on a t-shirt somewhere, I should've bought it.

  • My personal belief is that you should adopt whatever shooting technique suits you, rather than the dogma these so called "experts" force feed everyone.I personally found the Center-Axis relock system better for me.....but I do believe that firing at stationary targets in a controlled range environment is not the ideal combat simulation.Just my opinions.

  • @fixdeluxe1 exactly.

  • Is that a 226 or 220?

  • best in 2012 Ted.

  • Break yoursef y'all!

  • @DudeNumberOnePlus U know what im sayin?

  • Wowa, Earthquake. Hope all is ok. Good Day !! Take care!! Shaz

  • No doubt. Oklahoma is the place for me. It's more in line with what my uncles taught me. Keep rounds going toward the enemy. Not to mention I am kind of a smart A** and I think I would irritate Front Site. The perfect range stance isn't what you are likely to have in a real fight. You need to train for a realistic situation. Even clothing. You wear a suit every day,be familiar with shooting in a suit. I don't want the time I am fighting for my life to be the first time I ever shoot in a dress.

  • I have seen the video you linked before. Robert is an instructor for what is known as C.A.R. or Center Axis Relock. It was invented by Paul Castle following his expertise in the military and working as an armed bodyguard.

I have wanted to take classes on it and actually learn the material other than having Isosceles in my skill set. Very radical, very fast, and rejected by many shooters because it looks "Gangsta".

  • @Reynard13Fuchs Paul Castle is the NZSAS guy who taught this to Chris.

  • @kiwitedferny Thanks, I couldn't remember where he had served but knew it was a 'special forces' background.

I also just learned that he passed away a few months ago. Fucking shame, he was brilliant guy.

  • @Reynard13Fuchs Really? Oh Wow. i didn't know that. i didn't know him - just that he was a Kiwi who had done a bit of work teaching in the US.

  • @kiwitedferny 14 September it seems, complications due to Cancer. In a positive, there are tons of instructors that are carrying on with teaching CAR courses.

  • @Reynard13Fuchs Yes, Thanks. Just found some of his vids and added another link to them.

  • He came to America an innocent virgin with perky breasts. He left America a ferocious beast, balls to his knees, and ready to annihilate all opposition.

  • @SupremeAmerican "You lookin' at me?....You lookin' at me?"

  • @kiwitedferny Yo, come at me bro.

  • cool vid...well laid out. very interesting.

  • Can't argue with that good sir! :)

  • situational awareness irony @9:50

Good explanation. I'm going to do some timed drills this week to see how I fair with canted versus straight up and down.

  • @YokoWenis Yes, the irony is not lost on me...look around AND up and down!

  • you must have some 'unique' people who watch your video's if they thought you were just trying to be 'gangsta' while going overseas to seek training... I feel sorry you felt you had to make this video (well the intro anyway)

  • you call your vickers gun "baby"?

  • @morepassionfoo That's nothing. I call my MG42 'Slut'.

  • YOUR VIDS ARE GREAT.....

    KEEP ON KEEPING ON.....

  • Ted - heard about the earthquake in NZ. Hope you and the family are ok!

  • @DagaYute What earthquake?

  • @kiwitedferny It was in Christchurch Ted.

  • @TNMinuteMan Oh Shit. Not again.

  • @kiwitedferny Just happened man! Hope everybody is ok brother!

  • @TNMinuteMan No deaths reported, but dozens injured. That city is taking one pounding after another.

  • @kiwitedferny Im sorry Ted, im glad there was no deaths, but I wish I could help in some way. Be safe brother!

  • Interesting! Say, Ted I sent you a PM regarding a possible nazi "artifact" a while back. I'm sure that you missed in the deluge, but I'd like to send you a couple photos for your "eyes on" and opinion. PM on the way....

  • @The806Traveler Cheers, i will take a look.

  • People talk so much shit on here lol... nothing wrong with shooting gangsta if your not doing a fucking drive by and your training to use it for a reason..

Here in the USA there is no blanket deals when it comes to using your gun to protect yourself.. They will teach mostly to the vibe in their area and they should. what is ok in OK is not ok in CA...

  • It is much easier to point shoot when shooting, " half homie ". lol

  • awesome explanation Ted, Thank you. Have a good day.
