I have a real Russian helmet same one as the ones dug up , but mine is in good condition and has a helmet liner in it. It was never burried though it was taken as a souvenir from a soldier who sold it to me later on.

@MennoSmit123 Gewoon geen munitie mee naar huis nemen ;-) Maar serieus, wij hebben als afspraak dat we niets meenemen aan explosieven of ander plofspul, ook klein kaliber munitie. Laatst weer een jongen wiens schuurtje bijna in de fik vloog door een brandstichtend kopje, wees gewaarschuwd ;-)

This was a little unsettling to watch. My friend's grandfather was in the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front and the things they did to Russian POWs... truly unspeakable. Were any dog tags found?

@EldinSjinzo, We hebben nog nooit een veldgraf gevonden, gelukkig. Aan de andere kant zou het ook wel mooi zijn om een vermiste soldaat een echt graf te laten krijgen op een militaire begraafplaats. Mochten we er een vinden, delen we het met je!

@Ianmetaldetcting13, Zoals je zelf al gemerkt hebt is het lastig om nog mooie relics te vinden, wij komen ook vaak genoeg met alleen een hulsje thuis hoor maar dan toch weer een frisse neus gehaald ;-) Veel uitproberen en goede info over plekken helpen flink mee. Maar ook simpelweg stom geluk. Gewoon blijven doorzetten en uitproberen, succes!

@TheJoshy123456789 You’re not allowed to dig everywhere you want, in most country’s you need permission and some area’s its really illegal to dig cause off the roman artifacts ore the many missing soldiers still lying their. If you close the holes you dig, and tell the authorities where they can find the explosives you detect, mostly they don’t make not a real problem out of it.

@TheJoshy123456789 No problem :-) we don’t find helmets very often but some still have the leather liner intact, especially the German helmets. I’ve never seen a Russian or British helmet with liner still intact. It also depends on the type off soil, the dept it is found, and the way it was positioned in the ground. Leather is very tuff to preserve, it shrinks very quickly and dries out. I’ve got just one helmet with a nice liner still inside. Cheers.

@Thejenahfifi Hi, some of the things we found were put back in the ground, like the panzerfaust tubes, because the propelling charge was still inside. I gave away some of the helmets and the nicest ones are standing on my bookshelf :-)
