Tomcruiserfan it is nice to see that someone young is going to protect the work of this great artist so that it will be introducted to new generations like some great treasure.
Jackson Browne is one of the great artist of the world He will be discovered. He gives us master peices of beautiful art that we can keep in our souls.Thank you
Jackson Browne is like one of the great artist of the world he will continue to be discovered His work allows us to have great pieces of work in our minds.I thank him.
Achingly beautiful....I just love this song. Was so fortunate to catch JB in concert twice last month in Ontario....his solo shows always blow me away....hope he visits the UK in the summer
This is one of my favorite songs of his. So beautiful. Jackson Browne was the first musician I saw in concert...think I was about 9 or 10 - so over 15 years ago. He signed a book of guitar music for me :-)
" ... You're the color of the sky Reflected in each store-front window pane You're the whispering and the sighing Of my tires in the rain You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost In everything I do Yeah and I'll never stop looking for you In the sunlight and the shadows And the faces on the avenue That's the way love is ... Sky blue and black"
tomcrusiefan73, i COMPLETELY agree with you. Im 16 as well, and Jackson Browne is incredible. People always make fun of me for listening to "old" music as well.Music today should not be considered music. This, is music.SUCH a beautiful song that touches my heart each and every time I listen to it.
His dialogue about the song is just as meaningful...such soul, such heart...truly an inspired artist...his words and music paint the stories of our lives...
kind of unfortunate for me, I found about this guy by the 1st chorus part "if you ever need holding.." on the Friends pilot from 94 and when I looked up the song the whole thing has this bouncy feeling but that chorus part sounds like it's from some other world I swear I think he copied it or stole it or someone else wrote it and he just threw the verses together after. I'd rather hear the 1st 2 lines of the 1st chorus looped.
I'm pretty sure Jackson Browne has actually copied all of his songs from out of date sitcoms. And if you'd like that looped, I've got a 2-hour loop of "Thank you for bein' a friend" from the "Golden Girls". I could send you the mp3.
This is a beautiful song. I love this video where he explains how he felt in the beginning. I love to hear him talk anyway, he's got such a nice voice and he's so real.
This song is part best, part boring. Start and middle are perfect. Other this and thats are so-so. Jackson is number 1, but his best songs are from the seventies. Love the "I`m alive" album. It was a real treat the summer og 95 when I first bought and listened to it all the time. "Fountain of sorrow" is his best song.
I must agree "Late For The Sky" is Jackson's greatest album. Love the harmony work on it I believe it's Don Henly and Dan Fogelberg lending a hand. Hard for me to choose my favorite song but "Farther One" comes real close.
well, then I'll have to get this album. I don't have any JB albums, but I love Dan Fogelberg and do love JB on Youtube and the song, The Pretender is beautiful too.
im practically speechless...i have to say i did cry. This song is so beautiful, Jackson is so beautiful, he truly is just amazing.I love his words about the song...absolutely astonishing!!!! Jackson will forever make a lasting impression on the world.
note to Jackson Browne: You have made me think of life in such a different way, I will always love you.
he should make a lasting impression, but i doubt he will, because of the way people are, theres very few people like us that realize or appreciate how great of a songwriter he is.
thats completely true. You know whats funny...im only 16 years old and i am fortunate enough to appreciate great songwriters. You dont know how much crap i get from people because i enjoy "old music". I absolutely hate all the music that kids my age listen to. Im soo excited because im going to his concert on Sunday...my first jackson browne concert...i know it will be amazing!!!
@tomcruisefan73 Thats just toooo kewl young man. I think U will be pleased with his concert. I Saw him last year, AUG 29th.. Just PERFECT! My FAV of all time! ENJOY!!!
He's already made a lasting impression. Just because our generation doesn't exactly notice it right away doesn't mean it's not there. People who like music know Jackson. Anyone who knows music knows Jackson. He's not Dylan but he's also not Britney or Madonna. (She'll fade, trust me.)
Its for my hubby who is recouping from surgery, this is rough...I love you Baby...and know you are going to be much bertter soon, Sorry I cry whenbI see the pain...it kills me to see you hurting,,,love birdsof you are so important to our family get well soon.
An artist that will always be loved by all of us, a loving heart is a great heart, this guy has that! the pictures are so expressive and beautiful and so much sho his love of music...

I love this clip of Jackson's description of this song. I saved it on an old compter. It's like his description could be another song! Part 2 lol He is amazing.
I'm going through a very painful breakup and the first time I heard this song it brought out emotions in me that I was not able to express myself.
