    Apparently you don't understand the problem. If you untie the throwline from the bag, how would you isolate a limb? You couldn't. There are two ways to isolate a limb with a line and I've seen professionals use these methods repeatedly. The one in this video is in illustrated in the book (or a very similar method), Tree Climber's companion.

    The only alternative to this is to pull the bag beck through the tree, which will often get it stuck.
