I SUCK AT THIS GAME SO MUCH!!!! I can't even get past the first level! There's no feeling better than spending money on a game that I'll never get to play!
@Rankerquat Hmm... Did you try it on the Easy setting? And also, did you try to improve at the game? When I first played, I couldn't get past the first keycard. A few hours of dedication went by and now I'm almost beating the second boss. Perhaps if you really try to shoot stuff without getting hit, you'd succeed.
@du0lol Yeah, I myself was on ''easy'' I occasionally try it again every so often, but I think an hour of training MAY be out of the question, for a person with the attention span of your average house cat XD but seriously I do try to attempt it every so often (as in, the second I forget how to play)
@Rankerquat lol you should really try it out. This game is quite awesome. I've reached the third level by now, but didn't get to the boss yet. Getting my ass kicked pretty hard there D:
Does anyone here already played this Dsi game and can tell me a few things ?
A/ Is there a good variety of enemies, mini boss and bosses ? Cause from the trailer and game play vids i ve seen on you tube it seems you fight the same three four enemies for three hours on a row...
B/ Is it fun to play and not too difficult and frustrating like many olds NES 8 bits games like Contra used to be ?
C/ How good is the gameplay with the Dsi pad and buttons ?
3 Levels (Each taking around 20-45 minutes to beat if you're going for 100% completion). I'd say there are about 10 different enemies in the game. Each level has an identical boss at the end that has an upgrade to make itself harder in the later levels. It's fun and challenging, has three different difficulty modes, and becomes a cakewalk on hard (Minus the last level) if you've played it over and over like I have. Has a lot of replay value. Controls are tight and responsive.
The story in this trailer is a lie. The idea was made from the 8-bit ending music in the console edition of Dark Void(from what most people have been saying)
so this all about antiques and history an 8bit for 4$? what next last 2 year CAPCOM release MegaMan 9 maybe they planning to release some other vintage 8bit game for tiny $ budget but if there was a cause like donation why not ;p
You've got a point. And since CAPCOM is about to bring the Mega Man Zero series for the NDS, I'm not complaining anymore (although SFDS wouldn't hurt) ;)
Yet they could have made the game one screen because the second screen is the map for the game. Hardly something that makes it dsiware worthy and this is from a dsi owner and lover of all things Nintendo.
Just saying Capcom isn't fond of psn or xbla since they don't earn that much money from them anymore while dsiware, wiiware, vc make them and other developers lots of money from retro efforts.
Well, it was more of a grammatical failure. "Of" can never replace "have". Think about that. (It should be "should have" or "should've", not "should of". You know what "of" means and how it's usually used, right? Yes. So "should of" makes no sense, does it?) But sorry. I'm just nitpicky.
Anyway, I sort of agree with you that they should have made it 16 bit. But at the same time, I think 8 bit graphics are more memorable.
This game is like contra.

I think it's also in the end credits of dark void. You can probably find it in a music rip.

mega man 9 wasn't a remake. the last true mega man game was mega man 8.
mega man 9 was a sequel. now mega man 10 is out.

should of went 16 bit. :(

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Sorry that the retro look they were going for. Maybe Dark Void 2 will be 16 bit.
Maybe you should be asking why they would put the prequal to Dark Void on the DSiware instead of PSN or XBLA.
toomanyaccounts 2 years ago
@toomanyaccounts Because neither the PS3 or the 360 have two screens.

Not only that but the controllers just don't lend themselves quite as well as Nintendo's pads do to 8-/16-bit gaming.
