Nothing is wrong, but Rasheed isn't going to come in Boston with a starting spot when Kendrick Perkins has been the starting center for the past three years. Basketball is more about chemistry than it is about talent. perk and KG have amazing chemistry together, the Celtics aren't just going to replace that with a 35-year-old vet who's made the a;;-star game a few times in his career.

yeah he'll be just fine off the bench (marbury staying next yr? That would be some cool pair of vets off the bench) and he'll teach perk lots of stuff but he's not starting unless perk or KG injures. C's wanna see perk's upside and sheed doesn't even need starter minutes to score 3s and turnarounds and block a couple shots.

From what I have heard, Starbury didn't like the Celtics offer and there were reports that he was thinking Washington, but they don't want him, and I'll be surprised if someone else wants him. With Hill, he apprently wantys to go to the Knicks but he is going to visit the Celtics. That will be fun having that kind of bench. Anything that is an upgrade over Mikki Moore, ugh was he TERRIBLE.

And by the way, this year, Perk averaged 2.0 blocks, and Sheed averaged 1.3 blocks, so Perk is a better shotblocker. Sheed is better offensively than Perk, but Perk is better defensively. And, Sheed has had a good career, but he's not HOF worthy.

The award is a good representation of an amazing defensive player, and that's that.

No, not exactly. My original argument is that individual defense is hard to judge by simply looking at stats. And because accumulating stats is the dominant criteria for winning defensive awards, winning them should not be the SOLE representation of an "amazing defensive player." Defense is just as dynamic as offense, but only blocks and steals show up on the box score. But what about forcing bad shots, taking charges, and rotating and communicating on defense? These are just are some examples.

I def think the pistons will take the celtics as well as the nba championship this year. they have 12 well rounded players, the best backcourt of the decade, and are back to their defensive ways. the only thing they need is some length off the bench which can be acquired through out the season hopefully.

He is never intimidated and always comes through at crucial times. ANyOne who hates on him would probably sing a different tune if he were to be traded to their home team. No question.
