35 years as a believer cannot change the fact that I continue to depend on Him for my every day strength. The older I get the more I realize how much He loves me and wants to strengthen and discipline me. I am never alone in this walk but I have been in a down time in my life and career. Logically: There are a million and one different religions so who's stay out of all of them Christianity is the one that's actually real. My philosophy is to keep my mind open to all the universes possibilities because God or not, no person can pretend to know what does or does not exist in the world. My good guy friend was recently extremely seriously injured and he has a chance of not making it. A tree branch fell and crushed his skull and we're all praying so hard that he gets better. He's so strong and he's doing better and we're all waiting for the moment that he can come home and we can show him how much he really means to us. Get better Aaron<3

Its not like I have anything against Christianity its just that I feel that others things may or may not exist, I'm just open to the possibilities of the universe, i guess, is a good way to put it. I was studying for this Chemistry test one night, the night before. On top of that, I had a history test, Trig work, and an English thing. I turned the radio on, and this was playing. I had smiled to myself and said, "I get it. You're speaking directly to me. I give up. I'm not strong enough, but You are." It's not as drastic as some of these other things like with cutiekrys1986, but it still made my day, well, night.

@Dstephanyruiz I imagine this comment is coming from a place inside of Matthew that sympahthizes with people who are particularly sick and /or emotionally/physically/mentally weak from severe debilitating conditions / situations. The hopelessness in times like those causes people at rock-bottom to give up everything to God--everything--as they are bound to their helpless state. These words are likely a metaphorical crying out...saying God take over completely now. I have nothing left but you.

this song has really helped me through the hard times when we found out this year that my grandpa wouldnt make it for any longer. he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and he has never ever smoked in his life. he was actually a pastor all his life and he served in the army for 3 years because he was a christian. this song is so inspiring to all of us relatives that had to go through this hard time because it tells us that God knows what he's doing and that we should never ever give up on God. i had things happen that completely shattered my life. my uncle died from cancer, my sister got into an acident, my grandfather died, and my other sister was diagnosed with depression. i felt like the world was crashing down on me, but i knew that it was hard on everyone else so i didnt want to add to that. so i kept going holding it all in and not even trusting god anymore. i do now, but it took a while for me to get back on my feet after all of that. this song just hits home and reminds me

Within the past 3 months, my grandma died, one of my really good friend's mom died, tomorrow my best friend is moving from here in Kansas to Wisconsin, I'm having to transfer from middle school to high school, and for me, that's a LOT harder than it sounds. In the last three years, both my Grandpas were diagnosed with Alzheimers, on top of that, I had to move from Rockford, IL to Herreid, SD, my dog that I pretty much grew up with died, and our other dog that I loved just as much died. cutiekrys1986 - do you have amalgam fillings in your teeth - the dark grey ones - they contain lots of toxic mercury - this is a big cause of multiple sclerosis and so many other terrible symptoms and diseases and yet no-one pays attention to it! please please please research amalgam symptoms or side effects on google - and have someone safely remove them for you!! have had friends who went through the same thing! they are now cured since having the amalgams properly removed and detoxing
@Cygus1000 Yea I don't have anything dark grey in my mouth, my teeth have never been worked on except 1 and that was because I bit my tongue ring and broke my tooth in half...and I have a crown.....but it isnt dark grey....and that was done this year and I have lesions on my brain and spine and neck that are at least 5 years old......so I am not sure that crown has anything to do with my MS thank you for the info though, I will keep an eye out in the future to further that message....Thank You

@cutiekrys1986. marijuana will help with your condition. I feel as if this is what God wanted me to do. i just saw documentaries about how marijuana have great benefits to people with multiple sclerosis among other things. amazing how events align. and i just happened to see your comment.
@anabolic95 As a substance abuse counselor, I would strongly encourage you NOT to listen to the advice of this person unless you happen to live in a state where medical marijuana is legal. Illegal drugs are definitely not the answer, and they would not be part of God's plan to help you cope. I'm certain, though, that God has MANY other resources that will help you get through the serious challenges you continue to face. Blessings to you as you continue to walk with Him and seek His will for you.

@cutiekrys1986 I will be praying for you. I have the same sort of life here... not MS, but a couple other chronic, incurable pain inducing diseases. It's so hard. I am lucky that I have an amazing husband and support system in my family. They help me stay positive and keep me focused on God. Then there is my 3 year old son: I get out of bed for him. @Dstephanyruiz I imagine this comment is coming from a place inside of Matthew that sympahthizes with people who are particularly sick and /or emotionally/physically/mentally weak from severe debilitating conditions / situations. The hopelessness in times like those causes people at rock-bottom to give up everything to God--everything--as they are bound to their helpless state. These words are likely a metaphorical crying out...saying God take over completely now. I have nothing left but you.

this song has really helped me through the hard times when we found out this year that my grandpa wouldnt make it for any longer. he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and he has never ever smoked in his life. he was actually a pastor all his life and he served in the army for 3 years because he was a christian. this song is so inspiring to all of us relatives that had to go through this hard time because it tells us that God knows what he's doing and that we should never ever give up on God. (:

I am dealing with a difficult decision to make right now and it's more than I can take. With all the of negative things in my life - like eventually losing my home and having my sister in jail - I feel there is no where to turn to; I feel like giving up. I am young, but I understand that this is what it takes, to reach the point of giving up so I can surrender my life over to God. Then I don't have to be strong enough. My neighbor is dying of cancer. He has come home to die. His wife, a home health aide, quit her jobs to care for him these last weeks. I printed the lyrics and sang your song for her. We held each other an cried. She will be okay. Not because she is strong enough, but because she knows God is strong enough for both of them. Thanks for a great song.

The trick is to believe he can do it for you and to hold him at his word. He promises healing, comfort, joy and much more. Also know in your heart that he is there with you he will never forsake you. i had things happen that completely shattered my life. my uncle died from cancer, my sister got into an acident, my grandfather died, and my other sister was diagnosed with depression. i felt like the world was crashing down on me, but i knew that it was hard on everyone else so i didnt want to add to that. so i kept going holding it all in and not even trusting god anymore. i do now, but it took a while for me to get back on my feet after all of that. this song just hits home and reminds me

my papa died 3 years ago, and it just came back, the memory of seeing him die on the bed. i've cried myself to sleep for a whole week. everybody at church asked me why my eyes and nose were so red, i stated crying when my friend told me about the her saturday with her grandfather. i cried and cried, she was like 'what did i do?" this song has been so helpful. thanks matthew west!!!

This song is perfect for me right now... Within the past 3 months, my grandma died, one of my really good friend's mom died, tomorrow my best friend is moving from here in Kansas to Wisconsin, I'm having to transfer from middle school to high school, and for me, that's a LOT harder than it sounds. My brother, at 27 years old, has be diagnosed with a full cataract in his eye and he's refusing to get surgery... My list goes on and on, and this song has helped me so much.

This song makes me cry every time I hear it. In the last three years, both my Grandpas were diagnosed with Alzheimers, on top of that, I had to move from Rockford, IL to Herreid, SD, my dog that I pretty much grew up with died, and our other dog that I loved just as much died. This song means a lot to me to say the least.

cutiekrys1986 - do you have amalgam fillings in your teeth - the dark grey ones - they contain lots of toxic mercury - this is a big cause of multiple sclerosis and so many other terrible symptoms and diseases and yet no-one pays attention to it! please please please research amalgam symptoms or side effects on google - and have someone safely remove them for you!! have had friends who went through the same thing! they are now cured since having the amalgams properly removed and detoxing

@Cygus1000 Yea I don't have anything dark grey in my mouth, my teeth have never been worked on except 1 and that was because I bit my tongue ring and broke my tooth in half...and I have a crown.....but it isnt dark grey....and that was done this year and I have lesions on my brain and spine and neck that are at least 5 years old......so I am not sure that crown has anything to do with my MS thank you for the info though, I will keep an eye out in the future to further that message....Thank You

This song makes me cry every time I hear it, I have recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I am not strong enough to deal with all the pain, MRI's, testings and medicines. I take a daily shot to try to help somewhat control the lesions on my brain, neck and down my spinal cord. With this song I have been brought back to hope, faith and love for God. Don't give up...... it will be very hard, but don't you could be the person who cures us :) but I want to tell you that our lives before the diagnosis is over yes, but lives have new chapters and this is the start of ours..... so we stand tall and be proud of what we CAN do. @cutiekrys1986. marijuana will help with your condition. I feel as if this is what God wanted me to do. i just saw documentaries about how marijuana have great benefits to people with multiple sclerosis among other things. amazing how events align. and i just happened to see your comment.

@anabolic95 As a substance abuse counselor, I would strongly encourage you NOT to listen to the advice of this person unless you happen to live in a state where medical marijuana is legal. Illegal drugs are definitely not the answer, and they would not be part of God's plan to help you cope. I'm certain, though, that God has MANY other resources that will help you get through the serious challenges you continue to face. Blessings to you as you continue to walk with Him and seek His will for you.

So i loaded my kids in the truck and when i came around to get in the truck my daughter was singing this song all by her self it was not even on the radio but it felt symbolic. @cutiekrys1986 I will be praying for you. I have the same sort of life here... not MS, but a couple other chronic, incurable pain inducing diseases. It's so hard. I am lucky that I have an amazing husband and support system in my family. They help me stay positive and keep me focused on God. Then there is my 3 year old son: I get out of bed for him. I absolutely LOVE this song, but the very first sentence bothers me. It says "You must think I'm strong to give me what I'm going through." But God doesn't give us troubles. He may allow us to go throught them, but He NEVER gives them to us.
