I've been cut down by this man so many times!! But you know, you gotta get up, brush the dirt off of your butt and learn from it! Your horse can be much harsher. So I'm one of the 'stupid humans' Rick has taught!
Girl, I know just how you feel! I'm the wife of the "Stupid husband", parts 1 and 2! I learned so much from those videos, though. Now I'm assertive and stronger with my horse, and even though he laughed and made me feel 2" tall, it was all in good fun, and it sure made me take a good look at myself.
My husband and I both are now big Rick Gore fans.... And believe it or not, I even listen to my husband more now, too!
@sportsmangal Well, he wasn't laughing the day he cut my guts out, he was TICKED!! LOL But when I explained what happened, (misunderstanding) he was cool and it's all good. I don't expect a retraction :) and I believe he knows I stayed for the right reasons. I did enjoy those "Stupid Husband" videos, good for your husband, your horse, and you too!!
I hope that most, if not all, horse owners see this and take the advice that Rick offers, and thanks to you for having the courage to admit your misunderstandings, not only with Rick but maybe also with your horse, happy trails.
@jimmybee49 Thank you. My parents taught me that it takes a big person to admit a mistake to themselves, and an even bigger person to admit it to someone else. What happened was just an unfortunate misunderstanding and some bad luck and horrible timing, and was my fault---but TOTALLY unintentional. If I had cut and run because of it though, I'd have cheated both myself and my boys.
thatta girl...well said.....definately wearin your big girl pants now!! I am not being a smart butt, we all share a passion...our horses, they are the most important. Keep up the good work and again....way to 'woman up' cheers hon :)
@horseawareness Yes, definitely a compliment and a shout out to all the ladies who get themselves in a twist because you might have said something they didn't like, or "hurt their feelings" with your candor and they leave your channel and don't look back---I put my horse and his needs first, recognized that I wanted to do what was best for him, got over myself and am happy to say that both of us are better for it. :)

@zsofiawulf Absolutely. I'd much rather Rick cut my guts out as my horse stomp them out. :)

@ravenspirit59 Thank you, hope it inspires someone else to put their horse before their own human feelings. :)
