No funny closing voiceovers? They probably came up with that idea later in the series.
Another great installment! I particularly liked Harlan's "two time frames" comment! LOL His idea would have tied in beautifully with the Rod Serling format from the '50s & '60s! The idea that a modern-day director would ignore that for a cliched sequence is typical of the arrogance of a business that's filled with morons who don't understand what they're suppose to be working on and decide to use "formulas"
The voice overs come later in season two. Season one doesn't have the Second Nature bits and since this is the first season two episode, it hasn't really be established.
Never understood "formulas" in the sense of media. I get the idea of giving people "what they want", but not only does it reek of marketing, it also strikes me as cold, really.
Welcome to the perverted American Free Enterprise System. The "industrial model" that ruined the Automobile Industry and Fast Food Restaurants has contaminated Hollyweird! Sad that Harlan's comment is still relevant today, isn't it? After seeing interesting Canadian shows like "Night Heat," "Forever Knight" and "Da Vinci's Inquest," I'm continually amazed over how you lot escaped our "influences" while the UK & "Bollywood" didn't in terms of "rock videos" and cinematic dramas & comedies.
Funnily enough, I have a comic adaptation of Ellison's "Crazy As A Soup Sandwich".
After it didn't turn out the way he wanted, he got to write it for an issue of the Twilight Zone comic. With Neal Adams on art!
I like this program. When is it from? The 80s? Is it Canadian? (I'm Australian)
