  • um, it's ganbatte, not gambatte. がんばって。

  • Instead of the creepy voice saying "ONE... TWOOOOO.. THREEEEE...." wouldn't it be more useful if he said the English translation of all the phrases? Annoying AND useless. Geez.

  • ただいま is more for I'm home ratther than I'm back.

  • Ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, nana, hachi, kyu, jyu, jyu ichi, jyu ni, jyu san, jyu yon, jyu go, jyu roku, jyu nana, jyu hachi, jyu kyu, ni jyu. Yes that video worked Japanese ftw

  • For impossible can u use muri?

  • No, arigatou gozaimasu, genki desu isn't 'I'm fine thank you'. It's 'Hai, okasemade'.

  • NEVER TRUST GOOGLE TRANSLATION! It said when I typed in balloon it translated as, "hot air balloon" and once it called a grandma a, "great grandma."

  • the man voice is annoying and CREEPY !!

  • @rainofthepast Lol, yeah I know :L

  • @rainofthepast yeah he's also pointless shouting numbers out not really nessisary

  • I said Odajini to a Japanese friend of mine and he told me that it's not said to people as how we English people say 'Take care of yourself' when saying bye. He said that it's just said to a person who's ill

  • i need to know the basic first

    arigato lol

  • xD Lol! Reminds me of videogame quotes! Like.. "Ki o Tsekete!"

  • i <3 japanese!!!!

  • most Japanese don't use ''genki desuka'' how we use ''how are you'' just something to keep in mind.

  • @mmmkky12 Yeah I know, "genki desu ka" means "Are you healthy?"

  • トム 個のゼロ で個の 形容詞 人の つ それはないです。 それを意味お元気ですか。

  • @clyder7 Did you use an internet translation like Google Translation for that?

  • @tom101942 so how are you is Ogenki desu ka?

  • @tom101942 It's means 'Is it good?'. Directly translated as 'Good is it?'

  • @mmmkky12 Could you tell me how do they use "how are you" then? Thanks! :)

  • how does 'gambatte' have a stand alone 'm' without a vowel following it? i thought the 'n' was the only consonant sound without a spoken or whispered vowel attached...

  • @MsNocreativity

It is...but the sound that comes out sounds more like an m. So it's usually written with an 'm' in roman letters.

  • These seem pretty formal... Oo but what do I know.

  • @SerasxAlucard Yeah, the are quite formal. But it's probably better to learn how to use formal expressions first if you get what I mean.

  • @tom101942 O yea I know. I knew most of these. :3

  • ROFL@!!! i didn't know sayonara was an actual word!! but it's japanese? good to know... good to know....

  • Kawatta koto aru.

    what does that mean? o:

  • @TroublMakerAmaie

It means "I have experienced change" :L

  • @tom101942 o....o wow....

  • @tom101942 lol you're like "ermmm random...yeahhh'

  • @tom101942 Very useful - I'm going there in 3 weeks time!

  • Really nice, but a bit to fast!

  • Oyasumi nasai is the first bit Oyasumi said like (Oh-ya-si)

  • Nah, its just pronounced like its written (Oh-ya-su-mi)

  • why is it that the u on some of the words is never pronounced? 19 for example

  • I guess it's just the way the words have slipped into everyday pronounciation. For example: Hanashimasu (to talk) is pronounced: Hanashimas.

  • subarashi

  • ありがとう

  • arigatou ^_^ i'ver learned some of those from the animes and the mangas xD

  • どういたしまして。

  • @missdinamit OMG! I learned 98% of the words here from anime/manga >:D

  • Excellent video by the way. Very useful. :-)

  • Thanks :D

  • Yeah Anime is a good way to learn. Well I think so anyway.

  • number 13. has an error omedeto gozaimasu= congratulations not congradulations

  • Most of these are pronounced slightly differently if you are a man.

  • yeah, that's what I thought too.

  • Well if you're a foreigner speaking japanese you wont really speak it like a man or a woman at first.

  • @tom101942

Your comment is very funny, so tell me how will I sound then?

I'm planing on going to Japan soon and since I won't sound like a man or a woman I want to know

  • excuse me? :L

  • you said foreigners don't sound like men or women, so what do they sound like

  • I knew most of them already, I picked them up when watching too much anime. There were some I didn't know so I thank you for that. My Vocab is growing!

  • Same here,I 'm even getting correct pronunciation cause of anime

  • Anime is a really good way to help you learn japanese. Even watching it with subtitles you get some words

  • Specially Slice of Life anime.

  • Ooh Ive never heard of that before. Is it good?

  • you're welcome :D

  • lol thanks

  • hey this is very useful I just wish you can break the words in sections but still useful.

  • very useful. arigatou gozaimasu!

  • I've been learning japanese for a couple of months now and I'm very good at it, Just now I tried learning korean for a joke to see if i could and now it's stuck in my head!!!

  • Lol. Try to keep your focus on one thing at a time in the future. You'll eventually forget the Korean stuff in your head.

  • thanks

  • well, I did liked youir video, it's gonna help me a lot...congrats

  • thanks

  • isn't it ganbatte, with an "n"? also, is ganbatte kudasai a more polite way of saying good luck, instead of just saying ganbatte? and another thing (sorry) does ganbatte also mean do your best?

  • Written, Gambatte does have an "N" but it sounds more like an "M" so people write it with an "M" in romaji. Gambatte kudasai means please do your best. Gambatte is an abbreviation. Lol. Its fine dw. Yes Gambatte also means do your best, in fact thats the real translation. People just use it like Good luck. Hope I could help. :D

  • o ok! arigato gozaimasu!!!

  • lol :D

  • :D thanks

  • lol awesome
