You know, if you use stiffer wire and nail it to the top of the wood the wire will stand up in a loop. Squirrel will run down the pole and get their heads through the wire, but not their thighs. They end up just sitting there waiting for you. I never use bait. Squirrels naturally take the easiest route down a tree to save energy. I snared about 3 dozen or so last season, arrowed about 2 dozen more, and shot about a dozen or so with my Phantom.

hey guys i said in the vid i would bring the camera when i checked it but i got 19 inches of snow so i didnt bring it cause it would suck if it was dropped.. but when i got there was a gray on the bait but wasnt caught in the noose i got to close and he took of a waited 20 min he came back i got a shot off but missed never saw him again i fixed the noose so the bait is on the snare so he has to stick his head in it if he wants the peanut butter so i will check tomorrow after school
