heard Phil Gingrey saying that the Democrats are not saying how they are going to recover the 170 billion that was given. He didn't say the Democrats gave that money away because it was BUSH and the GOP who did it and in such a hurry Bush practically said that attaching any strings to the money was treason.
I agree with you boys. It still seems like a twisted Nightmare for the last 8 years, and how the American public sat on it's collective fat-ass and did nada. Amazing.
And speaking of fat-asses: You guys need to check out "Cantor Typifies GOP Lies & Hypocrisy" from TheSexyPatriot.
There's a real nimrod over their with serious delusions of substance rattling on all these Populist ideas (from Jefferson) and spouting them as Conservative.
Oh yea... and he has at least Three (3) handles... probably so he can agree with himself and make himself feel like he has a substantial opinion.
The very weird thing is that he makes these idiot sexist comments and then removes them. I assume he knows that the second that he posts them, that they appear in my mailbox. Very weird. I think he might be 13 or so.
I saw this exact same thing over on the old Air America boards (pre-GOP buyout).
We had this incredible nimrod who would post the most outrageously BAD talking points, full of misspellings and grammatical errors. Then log in under a different name after he was called on it and try to "support" his previous profile...USING THE SAME ERRORS! It was obviously the same person.
Then a poster (I think it was Mamba) who does IT security traced his signal route...right to the RNC's publicity office lol
Treasury Secretary Geithner, the fox in charge of the hen house, has resolved the problem for us. He is going to withhold $165 million (the amount of the AIG bonuses) from the next taxpayer payment to AIG of $30,000 million. If someone handed you $30,000 dollars, would you mind if they held back $165? This is bullshit distraction--- follow the money.
Selective taxation, singling out the people who took the bonuses is an unconstitutionally BAD idea! Bernie Sanders had a better idea. Sue them as shareholders of the company. WE OWN the company. We paid for it. As shareholders we have the right to sue them over these bonuses. Targeting them with the IRS is a Nixonian tactic.
Why the fuck should we pay the lawyers? Add it on as damages and legal expenses. These guys are supposed to be so brilliant at making money, make THEM pay for it.
Whoever gave a thumbs down to your comment can sit on it and spin. That is totally what I am saying. I applaud the Democrats for their efforts but if they had done their jobs in the first places, the bonus' wouldn't been awarded. This is an unconstitutional measure and a bad idea. What we need to do is take them to court and sue their sorry asses to get our money back. This Tax violates Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 3 (and possibly 4) of the United States Constitution.
Plus this is a HUGE distraction from the bigger news. AIG IS ALREADY SUING THE US GOVERNMENT. AIG filed a lawsuit last month for $306 Million in "BACK TAXES." They claim the Bush Administration overcharged them for taxes. They filed their tax return wrong in 2004 and claim the US Government Owes them money. And they claim that the IRS charged them for Taxes on their offshore accounts that they were supposed to get tax free...
This is a big distraction. After the American people have given them BILLIONS in bailouts, after they wrecked our economy, and after they just gave 300 something million in bonus' with taxpayer money, NOW THEY CLAIM THE TAXPAYER OWES THEM MORE? Fuck AIG, they have raped the taxpayer long enough!!!!
and how many exceptions are there on this tax???

Are people happy with the outcome? 90 percent? They are still paying out bonuses with tax payer money.

As long as we are jailing villainous thieving failures, lets be sure to round up the Oil-ogarchy Crime Syndicate as well.

I no longer listen to them. I automatically assume they are telling lies or saying nonsense and dismiss it all. They have ZERO credibility with me.

I stopped arguing with this idiot. He is completely vapid and devoid of any cognitive linear thought. He constantly contradicts himself... but...
It is a really interesting futile exercise/exorcize in human behavior to, at the very least, read his idiot ramblings.
You might just wanna throw in an occasional "Hey, idiot boy," for fun.

Mike. I think taxing the bonuses is a far better idea than paying the lawyers 33-50%.

Your gonna pay lawyers anyway, the bankers will fight the tax - take it to court and win, as the losing side the Govt will pick up the legal cost.

Ummm - Scoppertop - the Justice lawyers are already getting a paycheck. Or did you think the government would go thumbing through the Yellow Pages?

I was talking about the Banksters lawyers, who will be paid with our money.
