Sublime is NOT strictly a ska band. Some of their songs incorporate trumpets, but that doesn't make them ska. They're many different things, with ska being one of them. Punk, Dub, Reggae, Acid Rock..they're amazing. And also my favorite band : )

Way to take a literal meaning of the word. Musically, feeling means he's not actually playing the ska feel of the song. Meaning, he's not playing the rigid swing with the eighth notes, he's playing them straight.

It's a subtle difference, but it makes a huge difference to the listener.

That doesn't mean at all that he can't be feeling the song as in his own feelings, he's just not playing the right "feel"
