The astronomer Philip Plait has stated very clearly that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012 at all, that it is like the odometer on your car, as each section of the odometer reaches 9 and then clicks over to 0, the next number to it starts a new cycle, so that when all the numbers again reach 0 all the way across the odometer - the last number will change from 1 to 2 and the new cycle starts all over again.

Mayan calendar blah blah blah, 2012 blah blah blah, look around you, the signs are there my friend!" and they look at world events and go "Oh my god, it's so true!". Let's pretend this is 1943 and someone goes "The world's going to end in 1947", these same people would be like "Oh my god, the world's at war, we have nuclear weapons, etc. it's so true!"

look global warming is not man made. it just isnt. look in the 60s they said there was going to be another ice age.Did that happen? The thing is that if you look at earth's history before man, it had just as many sudden phenomenons like this that just happened. The world went from lava to water.
