  • Respond to this video... you're not alone, lol. how hip hop was that ?!!

  • @dupree82 OMG son this joint got me right back in 1984 I swear I felt like I was in a time machine,yo Hip-Hop will never be like this again it almost makes me cry when I think about that. How innocent it all was back then nobody foresaw how money would almost destroy the other elements of Hip-Hop,these cats did it bcuz they loved their craft and they loved Hip-Hop...

  • That is the REAL BREAKDANCE back in the days, nowadays the dancers mixing up lots of style and moves,it is a shame those old parties gone, really missing the 80's.

  • @brendobrighton Yeah good times. Back then it was all footwork, toprock, backspins, windmills, and headspins. But i like breakin in this new gen. Putting in all new power like flares and 1990's

  • anyone knows the names of these guys?

  • This is what it's about...I go to N.Y.C. and the guys out there are great performers, but are more like gymnasts. They also ask you to drop money in a hat on the ground! These guys do it because they loved it! I use to love this movie when I was a kid...and now I really love it 25 years later! A CLASSIC!!

  • the red dude at 3:12 is beast

  • It's funny that you mention that because I've been sayin this since this movie came out back in 84, Fliprock was an underrated Bboy!!

  • 2:53 blue dress guy thought he is on the real battle, and forgot it's a movie.

  • I used to have that blue puma sweater back in the day.. Classic!!.. I first saw this movie with my uncle when I was 5 years old... My uncle was a bboy from a crew called ice cold breakers .. In Pasadena,California .. He battled crazy legs in Hollywood in 87 when he made his way out to cally .. It was dope my uncle has it in video with a pic of me him and legs!.. Iam a bboy now for 12 years I love it love the culture .. Bboying is in my blood and so is the culture.. Peace

  • harlem in the house

  • at 1:23 its mr. wave from the new york city breakers

  • anybody knows the title of the firs song?

  • Im pretty sure that the two bronx rockers that first come into the shot are Kuriaki on the left and buck 4 on the right. Both killed seperately in rumoured drug related deaths in 1991

  • Never caught this movie when I was a kid. The breaking in here is 100 times better than that goofy Break'n movie and its sequal.

  • i a gree

  • To the kids today: THIS is HIP HOP CULTURE!!!! RAP, DANCE, GRAF, DJing!!!! NYC baby!!!!

  • fuk newyork philly is takin over!

  • Really? Nice!

  • Philly? You better get ya population up, the Bronx alone got more people, than Philly. You better also get your style, and importance to USA up as well. The US runs through NY. If NY goes down the Country goes down. If Philly went down the country would be just fine. Philly, a city famous for a statue of a guy who don't exist, a greasy sandwich, and losing sports teams. (Nice job in the World Series, BTW) New York is the birthplace of rap and everything else the world loves.

  • mind ya fukni biz bul n i dont evne fuks wit baseball

  • beat street is a classic!!!

  • what happen to Lee and Kenny I dont think they played in anything else. I tried the IDMB but I think they got some stuff wrong

  • Crazy Leg's has alway's been my fave! How fuckin' wicked is it to take off your shoe's off during a fast-ass spin & put them on your hand's for a bad freeze? These guy's we'er my mentor's!(I was breaking in '83 Y'all)...the Hell's Kitchen handball mural was still up at 49th & 10th in '85...So were the Tower's!

  • I met Leg's back in 95 when the Ghettoriginals did a show here in Toronto. He said he was working on that move just shortly before they filmed & got it in the first take,he was 17 years old then.He was really down to earth, true Bboy class.
