What prompted you to start video taping before opening the box? Was there damage to the box? That is never cool getting any product that is damaged, especially when you have been expecting or needing something. Just seemed odd that the tape was rolling before the big discovery. Just saying...........
@GMCLBZ The video was running because I was recording video of another item I bought from NorthernTool. For this vid submission I simply spliced the video to talk about this product.
@GMCLBZ Hi, I don't use it that much. The rpm of the motor is too fast in my opinion. It overheats the tooth if you are not really really careful. In my opinion, a chain sharpened on that sharpener only lasts half the time staying sharp as opposed to hand filing.
God damnit, I HATE getting broken things sent to me. Dude, I just got one of these a couple of weeks ago and it came in the factory box, not a cardboard one like this...
Don't accept it broken, I worked for Oregon Brand for 30 years, that vendor that sent you that, needs to make it right... It wasn't from the factory that way to be sure... good luck
i have used this one and is does not work very well. , the stone and motor are to small.

@popingamat I don't mind the motor size. I wish there were better stones too. A finer stone with a slower speed would make for super sharp teeth.

@woodchuckcanuck Do you like the sharpener aside from the broken housing? Thinking about one.

That looks worse packaged than one I bought from one of the resellers of Northern's returns and damaged goods.

do they have any video instructions on how to use their handheld sharpeners, do you know?

Send it back. They shouldn't be selling used broken product out at full price. I would raise hell if they did this to me. Good luck.

I would send it back, you never know how much it ran before.
Broken is broken...get your money back.
