Well, the problem with haters is that since because MLP was meant for girls back then, it makes it wrong for men to watch it today.

Lauren Faust specified that MLP:FiM is meant for any age and any gender.

MLP Friendship is Magic is a girly show. Whether it was meant for audience A or audience B, it's feminine in nature by the shear fact that nearly the entire main cast (save for ONE character) is female.
