Good luck with London 2012, I don't think you have to worry about Canadian negative press...we have been infected with the "American Optimism Virus" for at least a few decades now.
I use to like the UK...but after all the negative press that we have been getting from the UK...
In positive news though, I think these Canadian Olympics have brought Americans and Canadians much closer together. The American media has been refreshingly positive, their athletes world-class in performance and attitude, and similarly their tourists. There is still the brotherly pushing between Canada and the US, but our other older brother, UK, has figuratively moved out.
With the Canadian Olympics almost over...all eyes will be on London for 2012, and with all the complaints coming from the UK media on not only Canada, but the US athletes and Russian athletes; you can bet you pretty quids that everyone will be super-critical of London 2012...
I am sure that is exactly what the British OC wanted to see...nothing like extra pressure, and everyone rooting for you to fail...Sometimes its best to not dig yourself a hole so deep that you can't possibly get out.
I don't think anybody in its right mind can hate London or Britain but the logo issue is a matter of good design and taste, it does not have any. Ask Londoners.
The logo itself on its own, and as a static image, is unimpressive. But the way it will be used, with different infills, and used in conjunction with the dynamic pictograms released a few days ago, is what makes it stand out. It's part of an overall branding package, not just a simple logo.
I am looking forward to the London 2012 Olympics so much! And I truly beleive they are going to be a huge success, with first class venues. The Stadium at first appeared to be a lame design but has since turned into something quite amazing, on budget and ahead of schedule. We should be a proud nation and look forward to welcoming the world! Im not from London, im from Cornwall. Roll on 2012!!!!
Listen---you can disagree here on YouTube, and certainly in London, and not be a "hater"...allow people the right to express their thoughts, which showcases Freedom of expression---and not supress it, as was probably the case in Beijing. I too want London to shine---but the logo: HORRID.

The London 2012 Logo is an absolute disgrace---it has GOT TO GO! It looks like someone giving a blow job---please get rid of it---even if 400,000 pounds are already wasted.
i cant wait for the olympics to come to london in 2012 and i will go and watch the events and when 2012 comes we will be ready to host the best olympics ever
I Am So exited about the olympics coming to london and i think we all should be pround that it is coming to london so i agree with LONDON2012 that we shouldnt surpport the haters of london 2012 but be prond of it

Why is it that both the Beijing and London Olympic logos can be arranged to form the word "Zion"?

The logo is not reflective of the games in London... they are going to be great - the logo does not do justice.

in my opinion
the Olympics should only be held
in land once owned by greece or rome
and London would qualify
so yes i support the Olympics being in London
TOLAROscipii 3 years ago
We disagree- the Olympics should be a Global Sporting Event, not a European one. However, everyone should be allowed to have their own opinion.
Thank You very Much for your support though!
