i may sound stupid for asking this, but how exactly do you die, there's water? i thoought there was concrete at the bottom.. the jump really doesnt look that high people jump off cliffs into water all the time what makes this one any different? i dont see any rocks that could have your spin broken or neck snapped. little confused. how high is it? maybe its higher than it looks......

@tilliez it is really high, and the fall from it is a hard fall. Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=vWGS2b3tP1­c and then you'll see what I mean, and yeah, it's higher than it looks like. It says it's 746 ft (227.4 m) high. Just thought I would answer you.

@tilliez The height from the bridge to the water is higher then it seems, the vastness of the bay give the illusion, especially on video that the bridge is not that high above the water, when in reality, the bridge deck (sidewalks) are about 245 ft above the bay below, at that height you reach terminal velocity (125mph) just before hitting the water, from that height its like hitting a solid block of concrete, those cliff jumpers jump from 20, maybe 50 feet up. hope that answered your question

Gagging to come here and see this bridge for real. It's deadly but strangely hypnotic to me. In all honesty, If I had made my way there to sling meself off, I doubt any bollocks talk from someone at the end of those phones would make any difference.

From what i experienced death is for ever and i only came back from using mind over matter as my experience was caused by dodgy contaminated street lsd with some lethal contaminated in it. mind over matter can beat death if youre body has not been totally damaged but there is an element of giving up will end you also. there are ways you can return if you are strong. i also advise people to not take dodgy garbage street drugs which contain poison. i only came back from mind over matter

From that height It take 4 seconds or so to hit the water, Jumpers also sometimes climb the huge cables on either side of the roadway which have a walkway for maintenance people to gain serious additional altitude.
