hi this brings back memories for me i had a great pregnancy last min complications emergency c section my daughter has mecomium aspiration syndome nearly lost her many times! she was also on an oscillating ventilator but hey she is now a very happy bright 4 year old and starts school this year my heart swells with pride everytime I look at her she is such a happy soulone we almost did not have hopr your boy is now well too and you look after yourselves too x

to the person who asked if it was difficult to see fen on the oscillator (i accidentally deleted your comment-sorry)-actually we were just thrilled every moment that he was alive on the oscillator. we were told he wasn't going to make it. he had turned grayish/greenish/blue color-looked like a dead alien or something-so when the oscillator actually started helping, he turned pink again-it's all relative, i guess. it's harder now to look back at video of him in that condition. thanks for asking.

he aspirated blood and meconium during birth then contracted ecoli and strep pneumo bacteria which is very deadly and moves very fast to destroy the body. we were told that no baby could survive this... but he did, and he's in perfect health now a year later!
