I love the beat box. I bought it a while ago and it still works as if it was brand new. I don't like that the top of it scratches extremely easily though.
@roboghost7 If you shop at best buy id sign up for the best buy rewards program they have. Points pile up fast, right now i got coupons for 45 off, check it out
@kirbypreston you are an idiot, you've probably never even heard one of these. i have a beatbox and bose sounddock 10 at home, i prefer the beatbox. its considerably cheaper, its louder the bass is deeper (and not muddy at all) and the quality isnt noticably worse than the bose sounddock at all. i agree with everything liftedreviews has said, this dock is brilliant. you sir, dont know shit
But again, you have drivin off the path of what we started to talk ABOUT in the beginning. And that come down to your stupid recommendation for a piece of CRAP. You can't adjust shit on that unit. Can you? That why you refuse to answer my question, cause you know that the cheaper and smaller Bose would out perform that over stupid looking LUNCH BOX of a unit. You really entertain me. So can we just stick to the subject.
@kirbypreston It seems your age shines through in your comment. In the beginning I said to each their own, which means if you prefer one over the other who am I to tell you differently? I prefer the beatbox and that's why I have it, if you prefer the sound dock then that's your prerogative. I do not come to your house and tell you your wrong so why do you insist on pushing your product on me? You are right in saying there is no adjustment option on the unit itself but there are many EQs aswell
What "properties" do you adjust? What kind of question is that? What does that have to do with the Box? You know, tis better to be thought a fool rather to speak out and remove all doubt? And you sir are a FOOL.
@kirbypreston Ah yes, the weak minded resort to name calling. I see by your lack of a proper answer you have no clue about audio. Since you don't utilize the many resources available to you (Ex. A quick google search might teach you something) Properties range from balancing the sound to , as I said, the placement of the speakers along with a clean and constant power supply. Just give it up, your wrong, take what little pride you have left and leave.
Of course everything sounds better in such places SUCH as a studio. But realistically most people homes are more like a store then a studio. In most cases these units are used to entertain others. A studio is used for recording purposes. Am I right or wrong about this? That's my take on it. Now can you answer my question?
@kirbypreston It's not too hard to up the principles of acoustics of any room which you choose the listen to anything. It seems you overlooked my question so il ask again. When balancing audio what properties do you adjust to achieve the high mids and lows that you know so much about. Please do not come to my channel and accuse me of being bribed to give a good review, I have one video...this one. Take you insecurities somewhere else
Can you just answer one question? Which unit sounds better? The Box or the Bose Sounddock II. Im not even gonna ask about the Sounddock 10. The II is good enough. Can you answer that?
@kirbypreston Keep grabbing at straws buddy. I didn't say you NEED a studio I was explaining that acoustics help the way speakers sound, such as a studio which is built for sound. I'm curious to know your take on it? When balancing audio what properties do you adjust to achieve the high mids and lows that you know so much about. Its painfully obvious from your channel that you are a troll, so keep trying.
How many people have a similar setup like a studio? Do you? I would guess that the Box would need all the help it can get, cause the sound just SUCKS. I don't care where you take it the sound is TERRIBLE. It's very muddy. It has no highs at all, all you hear are the lows. It has no balance at all. It that's what you like hollow head then enjoy it. The Bose has all three, the mids
@kirbypreston Simply because it is a wide open space, if you were familiar with the principles of acoustics you would understand that the sound would get washed out in this type of environment. Ever been in a studio? You would see that these are built to bolster sound, the walls have sound insulation to ensure none leak out. Also depends on the shape and materials used in that room.
Knowlege has nothing to do with it, the Box sounds like CRAP. But you did say that the Box has an excellent sound, which tells me that you have a job to do, in order for you to get PAID. So in other words, I really dont believe you. And if you do, that really makes you a BIRDFACE. Ha!!
@kirbypreston Knowledge has nothing to do with it? Really?...it would seem to me that when you do have knowledge about things it has EVERYTHING to do with internet haters who hide behind a screen and think they know everything. FYI you do NOT get the same sound in store as you would at home, there are many different things that affect it. On top of all the points I already made here's another one, the sound you speakers also depends on the environment, a store is NOT an acoustic environment
The Sounddock 10 is also on display just like the Beat Box. I mean what I feel about the Box really doesn't matter at all. I'm sure Dr Dre has many fans that love the Box. Take good care sir.
I'm very sorry LiftedReviews but that is about the WORST answer I have ever heard in my life. I mean, just how are they suppose to take care of it. Lol, really?
@kirbypreston Uh you do know you aren't supposed to have them turned up all the way all the time, which is generally the case when you have items on display for people to come in and toy with. Also, a clean power supply also benefits speakers, not only this beatbox. Yep, really.
@kirbypreston There is also a "breaking in" period that you should endure when using new speakers. That would be to not turn it to the max for the first couple days. These are some of the options when it comes to caring for speakers
Went to Best Buy today to hear both the Beat Box and the Sounddock 10. I'm sorry but the Beat Box can't touch the Bose. The Box sounded so Muddy. It has no highs at all, like the Bose. You could tell the difference in sound being blindfolded. I won't buy the Box even if it was 50% off. Seriously.
@bbbald1 Hey thanks for the opinion. Unfortunately the speakers they have on display can't give you an adequate feeling of how the speakers sound because they are not taken care of properly. Seriously.
This looks like an amazing product, but for half the price you can get the kicker ipod dock. I bout the kicker over a year ago and it has never let me down. Amazing product with amazing bass. Even with the bass all the way up and volume at its max the music doesn't get distorted. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the beatbox I would highly recommend the Kicker.
i have a bose soundDock, and last year i bought the beats by dr dre and i really love them, do you think these can be better than bose? or would you recomend me to buy them?

@kirbypreston As many programs available that allow you to go "under the hood" of whichever song you choose and adjust them that way.
