Can't believe that someone would bring up simplified Chinese writing vs traditional Chinese writing in a discussion about a pop song. It's ironic that the ones who espouse traditional Chinese has to write in English. This (these) person(s) failed to grasp that Chinese language was/is/will be evolving. If he/she loves the traditional writing so much, I'd love to see him/her write in original Characters from Sang Dynasty.

@csw20020101 It's not that there is anything really wrong with simplified Chinese writing, like you said it is evolving and the simplified version was made so it's easier to be understood by the masses. But one must certainly admire the style of traditional writing, I know I do and many who grew up with it definitely prefer it. When it comes down to calligraphy, traditional has a sense of classic beauty... But you're right, we should be talking about the music! Lol.

That is very controversial, and rather a bad way of saying that fat people's love can only work on blind people who can't see. However, in exchange he was turned into a mouse. The song in Chinese essentially sings: I love you, just like a mouse who loves rice. #3 Thank God lyrics are in traditional. This probably the only way to remind the masses what Chinese writing is really about. Traditional characters are actually easier to understand once you are beyond certain level because they actually make sense (semantically, phonetically, historically)

Some are based on the calligraphic form. Like 见 being based on the written form of 見. And yet, while it looks OK when written with a brush, in my opinion, it is rather ugly when typed.

There is no such thing as the "original shape" since characters have always been evolving. Yet there was a certain standard form, which lots of people more or less stuck to from Qin to the PRC time.

Characters like 广、厂、义 and others don't correspond to "original shape of" 廣，廠，義 They're meaningless
