Got this amp for 270$ in Canada at Long and McQuade music store. It was 300$ but the employee gave me a discount. This amp has a ton of presets, 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's 2000's , artist presets along with song presets(which are the best) and presets line 6 made which alot of them are really great sounding. Love this amp. Note: If playing this amp in your bedroom having the volume past a quarter of the way up( 9 o'clock) don't be suprised if your windows rattle. It is LOUD!
Is that a Fender Strat? or some other single coil pickup system? I've got a bet going on....please let me know what kind of guitar you are playing. Thanks!
@bringbackoldlab hey if wasent for the dumbass that just msg'd me, i wouldent know u called me a fool...
you want a fool? look in a mirror, people can only aford cheap things? yea some people have a tight budget...that dosent mean you cant streach your dollar. whats that mean??
it means instead of spending 300-400 on this amp, you can spend 400 on a used Bugera amp,
Bugera amps are Tube driven, and best of all their designed to sound like highend boutique amps like MESA.....fool.
@CemetaryGatesML Idiot! Not everyone is a spoiled brat!!! We can't afford to get amps that are made for concerts that will pop your ear drums! Get a life and stop messing with peoples minds.
@nickjpass you stupid fucking twat. spoiled brat? i bought a 2x12 Bugera tube 333XL amp with a matching 4x12 cab. you know how much it costed me? 600$ for the hole rig, the 2x12 head alone was ruffly 450$
Dont give me this Bullshit backtalk that im spoiled or got money, ITS CALLED A FUCKING JOB! you can get one when your 15yrs old. you know how long it took to save up $600 ?? about 3 weeks when i was a younger. 3 weeks of work was the diffrence from this line6 shit, or a 6x12 Tube amp.
@nickjpass its decent for sombody who dosent care or know about good tone, like kids who put ever EQ setting on 10 and play metallica. but w/e its not bad, but not great.
and lucky to find a job? i made about 800$ in one summer renting a lawn air-raider machine when i was 14 25$ for the day, charged people 10$ to do their lawn front and back, thats how i bought my first GOOD guitar.
then i got my part-time job at a burger joint. its all about shopping around & buying good stuff used.
sounds nice, but in my opinion, it would be safe to say, the majority of people would view this video when choosing an amp. So i dont think its a good idea to have pedals inlvolved ! Nice playing though !
@omfg619 im sorry you feel that way. but not all of us own $500 HD cameras that shoot 1080p and have pro-quality mics. And besides, i dont play metal, so using the metal settings would result in a very bad demonstration. Also, why are even talking? the only video you have up is some random gameplay from a video game.
I bought Spider III just yesterday after several month compared with others.
Beside those interesting built-in multi effect, that the speaker was made by CELESTION which also used by Marshall Amp Valvestate series. So, if you don't fit with those Spider Preset Effect, you may use other effect to find out your right tune.
This 75watt amp has a killer power and intensity. I turned the Volume up to the half, and all the windows room starts to shakin'!
im getting a new amp in about 3/4 weeks for my bday and my main want was a Spider 3 bt i still dunno, i play progressive/power metal in a band so i sorta need both a good chrisp distorted sound and also a good clean channel, anyone think it would be worth buying?
@maddearth the spider III is good, but there are spider 4's out now, so u might wanna check those out, there pretty similar to the spider 3's, so i guess theres not THAT much of a difference between the 3 and 4, but check em out anyways :D the spider 3 has both good metal and clean settings, but its moslty a personal thing, so my tonal prefecrences might be different then yours, so go down to guitar center or something and try it out :D
@maddearth spider III is what im going to get tomorrow i think... for about £140 for the 75 watt, and if you wanted the newer 75 there around £240. so im just going for the older one, since my local store has one in currently and then i save £100. its a fantastic amp for that style in that price range, if there isnt enough punch for you try a metal pedal by digitech, or boss.
Hey I have a spider iii 75 Just like yours, I was wondering, when you put it on Metal/Insane and you crank the voume does ur sound sound muffled out? Cause when I crank it I get shitty sound
@YangGuardian i never tried cranking it with the metal/insane settings (too loud for indoors), the metal settings are rather muffly-sounding anyways. try playing with the settings first, play with the mid setting, it affects it alot.
Sweet, that actually did help... Since I got you I was thinking about buying pedals for it... I dunno if u have pedals but if you do how well do they work? Like I have a wah which works great btw, but I was looking to get a DD-7 (cause u can't exactly play with the timing on the amp)
@YangGuardian yeah pedals are great, do get the dd-7, the tap-delay is sometimes frustrating to use, and u dont have 100% full control over the delay. I have a Boss DS-1 distortion, a AW-3 Wah, and a Fender Chorus pedal, and they sound great with the amp.
Im really thinking of getting a line 6 spider IV, since ive been playing for 4 years i have used only a little baby fender practice amp, would you think i should get a 75 or 30?
Im leaning towards the 75 because i need a good amp to record music it
they have spider 4's out now? dam lol. I havent had a chance to play with a spider 4 yet, o i wouldnt know, but the Spider III's are still really good :D
75 has way more features if money isnt the issue go with the 75 you can record up to 28 mins of play and backtrack your own riffs and put in a drum kit so you can pretty much your own song. 75 watt for sure plus its LOUD!
lol the one ur talking about is the Spider Jam 75 watt. The one shown in this vid is Spider III 75 watt. And the Spider Jam costs $200 more than the Spider III, too :D
Considering you have been playing 4 years i highly recommend not getting this amp. Trust me it may be good for beginners who are practicing in their bedrooms but this amp is quite honestly terrible..i own one. What kind of music do you play? What guitar do you own?
Ofcourse it will be better although you can find amps 1000 times better than this. Whats your price range? Look in the peavey 6505+ or the Bugera 6262. The spiders tone is terrible and just sounds muffled when it's cranked up. Check out the amps i suggested on youtube, they sound amazing. You will regret buying the spider. I did although i knew nothing about amps back then.
@lostprophetsrock1234 tbh i agree with lostprophet. It sounds kinda, i dunno, "bassey", if u know what i mean. Getting a really nice clear tone out of it is tough. But again, its not a completely awful amp. Good enough for someone who has a smaller amp and wants a big one. The efects arent bad, either. But i see where your coming from.
it has a flanger, dude. its on the 1st effects knob :D if it doesn't, then probably your thinking of a smaller Line 6 Spider III amp, like the 15 watt or something.
lol why does that disgust you? im just saying, cause its a fact, too. obviously due to the fact that it has only 15 watts, you can't put on every effect in the world on the amp. So now that you got some good information as to why i said what i did, please dont say i was "making fun of" 15w amps...HOW IS THAT MAKING FUN OF THEM? Wow, you REALLY can't tell the difference between talking and making fun of?
Hey man, do you think this amp has enough power to jam with a band with a drum set? i have a line 6 spider 2 15watt right now, and it dont cut it.. also about how much bigger is it than the 15, if youve ever seen em

o well, we are all entitled to opinions :D I looked at the Peavey Vypyr the same day i bought this amp, and to tell u the truth, it kinda scared me away with all the different "pedal simulators" and whatnot...it was overkill for me.
fuck them bro you gotta start some where, trust me any one with any real skills wont judge because they have an understanding of how hard it can be sometimes, i only been playing 7 years but since day 1 i been learning the fastest and heaviest stuff i could find, with some lighter stuff in between....so if anyone judges you tell them to go lick a dick
hehe thats cool, ive been playing for 7 years too (im 15) lol. Thanks for the helpful words man :D yeah next week in Spring Break here, which means no school, so i'll use the time to make a new vid showing off the amp's power :D
thats good man but hows about some cannibal corpse or slayer....how heavy can you get that thing to sound bro.....its cool if thats not your style just wondering
yeah, actually this amp can get pretty heavy. My shredding skills are practically nonexistant, but now that you said it, i might a vid of the amp's heavier amp model.
