Well, I side with you for choosing the classic over the touch. But the ipod touch doesn't "suck". I bought one for my g.f., and uploaded her fav movies and stuff before giving it to her...and curiously used it and stuff, lol. Fun and cool...but I prefer my 120. [=
@bzlrrocker iPod touch, it has loads of apps (150,000) has a great screen big enough to watch a movie and has wifi. The classic was better in one way when the max space for the touch was 16GB, but now its 64GB and I will tell you I bet no one who has a iPod classic uses more than that, most people don't even fill up 4GB.
Um, I beg to differ. I have used up over half of my 160 GB Classic. I have 3061 songs, and 110 movies. I need all that room. I like it cuz it's cool. I'm set. I don't have to be adding and removing stuff constantly. I plan on holding on to this my classic until there's a 128 GB Itouch at an affordable price. So it'll be awhile. Maybe there will be one this year. But not at 399. Probably 499.
@shoponline831 Lol, that would be the cost of an ipad, more likely the 64gb 4g will replace the 32gb 3g and the 120gb 4g will replace the 64gb 3g in terms of price. They might then also start selling a 3rd generation 16gb ones or keep with 8. That's what they have done over the past few years.
wow i bought one but was disappointed in the sound quality the bass is flat it does not sound as clear as my iriver ifp-899, even my samsung T10 sounds way better than this, the features on the ipod are way cool, but lacks sound quality. I even messed with the equalizer settings but sounded horrible, the jazz preset seem to be the only one o help bass out, maybe its me but I have good ears and I also used different headphones but bass is still flat.
I have the 80GB black one >:-D, its much better than an ipod touch. From 80 to 160 GB of space vs 8-32, are you kidding me? I think the touch is a rip off.
umm thats gonna take you forever...just go to the flee market and sell some stuff it's easy and fun...just like sarah palin lollolololollolololololooooooolololololololollolol jaykay
Question to all iPod people. I have and iPod touch 8gb, and am running out of room. My next choice would be the silver 80gb ipod classic. Is it worth it? Will the price drop soon? Please answer.
Because Apple likes to keep the same price on an iPod, and it never drops until they bring a new model to the markets. They only replace the older models with new ones, but almost never drop the price.
For example the nano has always cost 209 €, the models have changed 3 times. first 1st gen 2 gig, then 2nd gen 4 gig, then 3rd gen 4gig.
Apple likes to do it that way. It's a quite good way, IMO. Prices are stable.
get a condenser and resync your ipod so you have more room don't forget to delete everything on it. i have a friend who has everyseason of the sopranos and 13 other movies + 500 songs and 600 photos
well, the classic is a much better portable player even though the touch does have some really kick-ass features. i own a classic and it is everything i ever need, its got the space, the very long battery life, the thinness that we al enjoy, and it looks great (if your into looks, which i think every one is) but yeah, i'd say that the classic is a great choice, unless apple comes out with an 80GB ipod touch, which would be insane!! but you should look into it and see for your self
Yeah, don't worry, i want one so bad too, i'm 14, but i got a job in a restaurant, i think all you have to do is search. And also i signed my work contract on my brothers name who is old enough, lol.

listen, i am telling you the hones truth: the iPod touch SUCKS!!!!
believe me, you will be more happy with the iPod classic!
i got the iPod touch and then i returned it for an iPod classic, becuase the Touch was useless and the battery is not as long as the Classic's!
just my opinion
