That's more than I can say for the GOP when they were busy screwing up the country during Bush's first six years in office. So that little "Even Steven" argument that you right wingers always pull out of your behinds is laughable at best.

The way the Repubs have taken to abusing the filibuster since they became the minority party in 2006, I'd love to see the Dems push everything important thru the reconciliation process. Bills passing w/ a majority vote is what used to be known as "the democratic process" - something most democratic societies regard as a good thing. But now the Repubs claim forcing a straight up democratic majority vote would be an act of violence? Can these nutjobs get any less credible?
