  • Quote: Lets hope it is SIXTEEN YEARS before they have any kind of majority anywhere.

I'm with you on that, xhagast. However, I was thinking more along the lines of A FEW GENERATIONS, but sixteen will do!!

  • It is just a number I pulled from the air. Remember, the people has a very short memory. In sixteen years, helped by a few scandals, the American people may be ready to see the GOP back in power.

And after they have raped the country for a few years and gotten us into a hot war with China or maybe Canada the people will realize the depth of their mistake. Hopefully. Dubia did well with his insane war with Iraq.

  • But the Democrats have bent over backwards to work with the GOP only to have them spit in their faces. That's more than I can say for the GOP when they were busy screwing up the country during Bush's first six years in office. Those treasonous sobs in the GOP even tried to KILL THE FILIBUSTER to ensure that their disastrous agenda made it through the Senate unchallenged. So that little "Even Steven" argument that you right wingers always pull out of your behinds is laughable at best.

  • But the Democrats embrace now a measure they were against back in the day. Doesn't that also qualify as hypocrisy?

  • The Republicans are just shameless, lying hypocrites. Period. And I love that new "budget alternative" they came out with today. To quote my man Yogi Berra: This is like deja vu all over again! LOL

  • Hypocrisy is part of the job description for ALL polititians.....

  • You just know this is going to get abused.

  • Of course. It already has. By the GOP. Screw them.

  • Bond and Gregg's comments are completely Orwellian. What a couple of disingenuous lying thugs.

When these Republican Thugs are in Power they are the "My Way Or The Highway" crowd... now that they aren't in power... it's whining and pretending like they're relevant.

  • Screw them. Forget them. Lets hope it is SIXTEEN YEARS before they have any kind of mayority anywhere. And that they got a brain transplant from a donkey. Great improvement, you can be sure.

And I hope there is a third party in the scene by then. These guys deserve go down history's toilet and disappear. The Whigs weren't this bad.

  • xhagast:

I agree... If there's one thing that these freaks did best... it's that they became THE MOST corrupt Party in American history!

  • obama should just come out and say what bush said " I have political capital, and im gonna spend it" except this time it isnt being spent to make all the president's cronies a lot of money

  • Hell yeah David Shuster!

Republicans are nothing but logs in the road, they don't go anywhere, they just sit there and obstruct shit. Time to toss them out of the way and keep moving!

  • I am not surprised and I think the debate on the issue is ridiculous. Obama and the Democrats should do whatever they have to. They are ruling ALONE. Except for a few Republicans the whole party is rooting for Obama to fail. Then they can pick up the pieces and instaure a theocratic oligarchy. Or an oligarcal theocracy. And screw the people.

They are self declared traitors and enemies of the US. Ignore them, they are irrelevant and mean us harm.

  • Damn right. This the 21st Century. There is no place for them here.

  • Why don't you tell us about Missouri politics, Mr. Bond? I'm certainly ashamed to have you as my Representative. You, Governor Blunt, Roy Blunt...all of you bastards are among the most corrupt, pork loving, corporation serving scumbags the nation has ever known!

  • Talk about fucking GRAND STANDING! Gregg your a fucking ass.

  • The way the Repubs have taken to abusing the filibuster since they became the minority party in 2006, I'd love to see the Dems push everything important thru the reconciliation process. Bills passing w/ a majority vote is what used to be known as "the democratic process" - something most democratic societies regard as a good thing. But now the Repubs claim forcing a straight up democratic majority vote would be an act of violence? Can these nutjobs get any less credible?

  • *****

  • Aww! are the republican's feeling left out a bit? Wanna tissue?

Sorry, just can't stand when Bush claimed he had a mandate, and 'had earned political capital' with the narrowest vote margin in his election in a long time, then he proceeded to let big Business go wild.

  • Yeah - all his capital he "earned" was granted by the Supremes. In 2000, Bush lost the popular vote.

  • @garthggarth you'd prefer all business to fail.

    silly liberal tissue remark.
