People just wherent intrested in the new bullpup rifle. a semi auto famas in the us today costs around $6000-8000 because they are so rair and there are absolutly no spair parts avalbile.

@matoto59 c'est un fusil ou fusil d'assaut avec système bull-up c'est à dire que la fenêtre d'éjection et l'ensemble mobile se trouve derrière la poignet pistolet. Il a des particularités, il est ambidextre c a d que l'on peut très facilement et rapidement faire ejecter les douilles de la droite (initialement vers la gauche), il a des bi-pieds (F1 version pas sur la video bizarre) et son canon rayé à la particularité de causer de graves blessures

The m16a4 is fully auto and is a little shorter than the m16a2&3. It also has a picitany tail at the top and on the rail system

@AGeekWithAShotgun alot of french guns are good BUT they are not the best...the famas has had problems and there reliability is not the best and the french army seriously need to sort out the rifle grenade on it it's just combersome and out dated, the sight postes are way too high above the barrel and the accuracy at some ranges suffers from that, that's why you dont see scoped rifles with the scope mounted 20cm above the barrel

Which tends to have more power and accuracy at range [without factoring in humans], although more kick. Fixing the sights would probably make the gun a lot better. But overal the Famas is a rifle I'd still love to own.

No way, the m16 is certainly the shittiest assault gun ever made. Unreliable, easily jammed and fragile as a glass. And it can only shoot 3 rounds burst max. The russian have a test about fragility, the drop a loaded gun to fall on the mag. The Ak-47 (and FAMAS as far as I know) can be taken after that test, just reloaded and they fire as good as before. The M-16 get broken in 2 in more than 70% of the tests, and almost everytime it can't be used anymore.

On the contrary the Ak-47 was reliable, resistant and precise. The Fa-mas too, but a bit too heavy.

FA MAS will never be at the top with the two big boys of assault rifles, AK-47 and the M4A1 Carbine. Decent rifle for the French but doesnt have a trustful track record for me.
