@Glassfox9 that's kinda what i thought. i should imagine should i need to use this i would render it with a double boiler (or close approximation thereof) rather than wait 7 hours.
Sweet. I wont be doing any cooking, but I did need to know how to render animal fat. Low heat, long time, stir often and don't let it burn. Also pleased to see you used a cast iron pan, that's what I had planned on. Thanks
These are great videos! Thank you so much for sharing how to do this! I do have a question, why did it take so long? Is it because it is bear fat as opposed to beef or pig fat?
Couldn't you also use a double boiler set-up and put it on high heat to speed up your process without burning the fat?
