  • @MRMUG24 If you don't like it, then don't listen to it man :)

  • good cover!!!

  • Bad Religion are infinitely better than this...

  • @Tenozuma couldn't agree more

  • WTF the metal band of geert van der velde This is not wat i expected

  • Props for them covering BR. This track is pretty wicked but the original is much better......... sorry metal-heads...... just saying.

  • i don't know who said that this version of this song is better than original, but that guy, is fucking insane, sorry, but this "song" que chucha this version

  • "short chaotic short delivery" yeah alrite asshole - lets make up more shit on the spot

  • Shai Hulud covering Bad Religion. How fucking rad is that?! Perfect combo.

  • LOVE this band and thier name damn, i am so obsessed wiht Dune i have to listen to music that references it ;P

  • Like it or not, at least give them props fo their good musical references/tastes

  • bad religions is definetly better

  • Anyone know what this song is about?

  • @amary7940 about a girl that went and killed the delivery man xD.

  • @amary7940 drug addiction

  • This cover is mind blowing !! Shai Hulud is the best band ever.

  • this band was one of the first bands to coin the genre "metalcore"

one of the few true metalcore bands left.

  • nice (): very gooood !!

  • you know this is a bad religion song right? this bad sucks cock hardcore metal sucks they are to gay to be death metal!

  • @johnm8h lol

  • @johnm8h Ya and you are to gay to grammar correctly. Learn your shit before you come in and talk shit about other peoples music Shai hulud is one of the best badns if not the best in the hardcore scene. Also Death metal and hardcore are different death metal is breakdowns and little to no message other than death. Hardcore has no breakdowns and almost always has a message. As I said learn you're shit you pathetic troll

  • @gaarathesandspirit hey dumb fag delete your fucking comment on correcting me on grammar as you have spelled bands wrong idiot! hyper fat kid! and i don't give a fuck about death metal! you couldn't dissect/begin to understand my music...fuck your pussy music and bands! a bunch of fags moshing toughing each others cocks and asses....bullshit!!!

  • @johnm8h

    homophobia is gay!

  • @johnm8h lol. You're an idiot.

  • @johnm8h haha u think someone on the internet cares about what u have to say XD

  • @johnm8h You seem like a faggot with horrible music knowledge. Bad Religion is good, but Shai Hulud has also been killing it for 10+ years.

  • The word "screamo" is lame.

  • @RomeIsTheProblem I like skramz better.

  • 1234567. All good children go to heaven. I see someone listens to the Beatles.

  • this is beautiful

  • I remember seeing these guys in the early 2000's, such a sick live band.

  • u r al dum

  • Haha you know what's gay? At the end the singer stresses I never loved youuu!! Haha they wanted to make that song about a women! I can see them in the studio now..yea let's cover this sweet br song and turn it into another screamo love/death song! Yea! ..shoulda just left it alone

  • this is so dumb

  • Are you all retarded? Its a Bad Religion Cover.

  • I laugh at all the trolls getting shutdown on this vid, fuck this music just makes me wanna move :)

  • new metalcore is really fuckin gay

  • @DoubleEdgedSword12 Yeah, cause it's all mainstream. Anything that's mainstream is fucking terrible.

  • i hate the fact that some of the people defending hardcore are teenage morons who wouldn't have been able to find a show in the 90's because they were too much of dick riders to have a good time seeing good bands. but this is a great cover.

  • actually shai hulud was 'emo.' that genre is just thought as something else now

  • Comment removed

  • dude.... this is amazing!

  • Can't say i'm too fond of this, you can't even make out what's being said. It doesn't sound pleasing to me, but hey, everyone's different.

It seems to destroy the sentiment of the song when it's sung like this. Bad Religion's original is a masterpiece in my opinion!

I won't be listening to this guy again

  • @AMelancholyDream what sentiment is that?

  • @AMelancholyDream well then buddy, you are in a world of hell because true metalcore like this, yes it's metalcore, is taking over.

  • Mad Gay

  • shai hulud does the best cover songs !

  • Yall are faggots. Shai Hulud is a hardcore band. One of the first hardcore bands to show characteristics of the modern metalcore bands, but still a hardcore band. They were before "metalcore" or whatever the fuck. But they are still awesome.

  • this song sounds a lot better than the one I just heard. "This Wake I Myself Have Stirred" or something.

  • OH YAY!!!! Two of my fave bands combined!!! :D :D :D

  • hey for all the people complaining, just be grateful fall out boy didnt cover this song like they did with start today. now thats a downright disgrace.

  • like this

  • To all of the naysayers... They're covering Bad Religion... Isn't that cool enough.

I mean, it's way more hardcore than Sublime's cover of BR's sacred material.

  • @machinesbreathe I love all of BR's music... This...This however...Just seems wrong... Feel free to send hate my way for this but i honestly thing they disgraced the song...

  • The definition of screamo is an agressive outgrowth of emotive hardcore (emo). This music is hardcore punk with metallic influences. Simply calling anything with growling, yelling, screaming, spoken word "screamo" is the definition of ignorance.

  • @Kellyo90 jeje now every thing is emo.....hehehheheh, genere genere im ignorant and i oso thing metalcore is preaty old school fro crososover in 80s bla bla

  • @Kellyo90 Actually, using the term "screamo" is the definition of ignorance. Off yourself.

  • @Kellyo90 Indeed, after you've listened a lot of metal for a reasonable time, THEN you can hear the difference between good and bad metal no matter what the genre and choose the songs that fit your style.

  • @Kellyo90 i call it HxC like strongarm or Focal point the bestie boy ABR... streach arm strong

  • @Kellyo90 Absolutely, I'd take this over bullshit scene kid metalcore any day. I can actually see the straight up punk influences in this band

  • Having grown up going to Shai Hulud shows and having met these guys, I know how much punk music influenced their music. There really is no reason to dislike this.

  • it's so stupid how people complain about other genres... who cares... if you're paying attention to wtf people care about what you like. it's already time wasted.. if you like it awesome! talk about it. but if you hate it then who cares... complain elsewhere..

  • butchered

  • you suck fat motherloads of goat semen. fuck your mom

  • I should hate this. However, this is fucking fantastic. And the tempo change at "Annnnaaaaa"

    Yeah. Sex.

  • Why should you hate this, Shai Hulud was an ammazing 90s hardcore band. Valid.

  • this is epic

  • i love it

  • I first listened to this on a V/A album titled Fallen Angels in 1999-2001. So good! I'ma BR fan, so I don't agree w/ some of these guys who bash it. The band is paying tribute to BR for God's sake!

  • @indoom666 its a cover. it doesnt have to sound the same, they play a differnet style. now shut up and go cry about yer life.

  • Screamo = a genre that grew out of hardcore punk defined by short chaotic short delivery with use of experimental dissonance offset by clean melodies.

Bands include (but not limited to): Circle Takes The Square, Orchid, pg. 99

    gtfo n00b

  • @dillingerjos no offence but its no use trying to educate people about a genre of music thats pretty much dead. kids will always be kids. i still listen to real screamo and btw circle takes the square blows goats

  • @dillingerjos

If you run to Wikifuckingwrongpedia everytime you are not sure for something or want to learn something you sure dont know shit about metal...

  • @dillingerjos thank you for posting comments like that. 2 years ago i was into punkrock a lot and I hated the so called 'screamo' those days. A similar comment was posted on a video and it caught my attention, I looked up some real screamo bands and discovered I loved the genre. Now I go to shows pretty often, saw amazing bands like celeste, ampere, loma prieta, comadre and beau navire.

  • @dillingerjos finally people that know about hardcore punk (American Hardcore). and i am the only one here who thinks they sound inspired by Minor Threat?

  • @deadguynumbr6

EVERY punk band after MT sound like them, man.

    They're pretty influential.

  • @ebernard40 yeah man, ha ha. i love MT hell my world geo teacher listened to them

  • I don't like this genre so I bash it and say that it's terrible. I can see how not liking an entire genre makes you a good critic of it. I would liek to see you make a good hardcore band if its so easy.

  • this is not screamo. this is quintessential metalcore

  • Bad Religion's version is so much better than this ....i'm not trying to put this down, but jesus h christ.....they don't even have the guitar riff right

  • The lead guitar is playing the vocal line, and the rhythm is right on. Are you listening to the same song as me?

Even the guys in Bad Religion agree that this is one of the best covers ever. While the original was great, Shai Hulud's version is much more "exciting" (for lack of a better word).

  • bad religion's members actually said this cover was good?

  • Yep.

  • @homerfromhelI

    damn straight! fucking epic cover.

  • @homerfromhelI

    Probably because it's fucking amazing.

  • @STABxYOUxRAWR

haha, i forgot i posted that message. at first (when i wrote that) i thought this was screamo crap. since then i've listened to a whole shitload of shai hulud, and now i see how stupid my first thoughts were. yay shai hulud!

  • @homerfromhelI

Part 2, to admit screamo isn't crap and the emptiveemo crap that gets called screamo is unrelated. Start with Saetia and Pg 99 like everyone else does.

  • @STABxYOUxRAWR

oh, i didn't mean all emo/screamo is crap, whatever counts as those genre's, i meant that i thought shai hulud was screamo crap.

not screamo, and therefor crap, just screamo + crap

  • @homerfromhelI

Oh, in that case let's all listen to Shai Hulud and Saetia to celebrate this moment.

  • @STABxYOUxRAWR Not to but in, but you named two of my favourite bands right there.

  • honestly I like this version ways better than the original... the song fits better.. I donno how to describe it^^ amazing song!!

  • shai hulud is a fucking amazing band if ur gonna see only one hardcore band live, make it shai hulud. terror would be second.

  • Nasdrasil I have to agree with you on that one, I dont like this version... at all.

  • Don't like this. The most amazing part about BR is Greg Grafins melodies, which this lacks totally. Kinda distasteful where hardcore is going nowadays anyway.

  • HAHAHA Alesana is not screamo. Screamo, is Circle Takes the Square, Seatia. ect.

    Shai Hulud is definitely hardcore.

  • definitely not screamo!!! Simple Plan, Alesana etc are screamo, and they all sound the same...actually Simple Plan doesn´t even deserve to be called a screamo band, they´re just plain pop shit music

  • this is the worst shit ive ever heard in my life. i never thought anything could be worse than simple plan covering american jesus, but this is way worse. down with bad religion blasphemy. fuck off and die..

  • Shai Hulud is not screamo or emocore... I've seen them live a few times and it's all skins at their shows... They're pretty brutal to be honest. I'm not arguing here but just speaking from personal experience.

  • Well didn't this come out like back in 1997, which was like half a decade before the rise of screamo???

Plus, it's a bad religion song, so it could never be tainted by emo. If a band were to every try to do anything emo to a bad religion song, I'm pretty sure even god would strike them down.

  • what the fuck you on bout..

this is more fucking hardcore. than emo.

  • Whatever it is... it sucks ass.

  • this song is so genius!

    I LOVE IT!

  • The singer starts every phrase with a "whaaa" which is irritating

  • Who gives a fuck you're irritating, it sounds awsome screaming

  • fuck yourself

  • Shai Hulud is very underestimated. Check out their album : A profound hatred....

3 cover songs: Bad Religion/NOFX/Bad Brains (greatest hc-band ever ofcourse)

  • great xD 5/5

  • SICK.

  • This isn't that bad.

  • one of the rare occasions where the cover is better then the original

  • Are you insane?

  • If i was i wouldn't admit it.

  • Bad Brains is the shit. NY HxC

  • This is a Bad Religion Cover, not Bad Brains....although the Shai Hulud "Fearless Vampire Killers" cover is great too.

  • Yea my bad. your right

  • Comment removed

  • awsome cover!!

  • I saw these guys and BOO at a concert back in November, fucking great. I didn't even know they did a cover of this song until now, and it's fucking rad. Favorite Bad Religion song ever haha.

  • Bleh. Bad Religion all the way.

  • Shai hulud and stretch armstrong great HxC bands !!!!

  • all good children go to HELL ? :)))

  • hardcore is harcore punk...so yah...

  • Yeah, I too prefer Bad Religion's version but this is good too.

DID I MENTION I SAW SHAI HULUD LAST NIGHT? WOOT!

  • fuck you....

XXD hahaha. how was it? i was gonna go see em also. but i had the date wrong and missed em by a week.

  • Hahaha. Aw that sucks man. Hopefully you won't miss em' next time.

It was AMAZING. They stay very true to their sound live, and most bands cannot pull that off. I cannot recommend seeing them highly enough. Matt (the guitarist) is a pretty chill dude too, nice guy. I got him to sign my poster. It was all very inspiring.

They were fucking awesome. Stick to your Guns and Stray From the Path were both pretty good too, I guess. But I will never EVER forget SH.

  • shhh.. alright. thats what i hearad. thanks bro

  • No problem man.

  • whos this song from origanally?

  • Bad Religion

  • No offense but I think that Bad Religion's kicks the shit outta this one. But I'm not a metal fan, so yeah.

  • HARDCORE PUNK

  • sahi hulud is not hardcore nor punk.. therefore theyre definetly not hardcore punk.. and i dont enjoy this music too much.. not into the vocals... as far as the song musically its good though

  • LOL you have no idea. Shai hulud is HARDCORE

Just read about the band, the circle and scene where the band grow up was the hardcore punk!

  • hardcore is short for hardcore punk

  • i'll answer that for ya, NO. Bad religion has nothing on Shai Hulud....Rock ON!

  • this is so awesome xD

  • awesome vocal ^^

  • i love bad religion too but this is the best cover i´ve ever heart and shai hulud are my favorite hardcore band since a few years

  • two of the greatest

shai hulud and bad religion REALLY rules!!

  • i love bad religion and i actually believe this to be a better version

  • thats a joke

  • I agree with you!

  • mate i agree with you, dont get me wrong i love bad religion, but this version is better, that is only my personal opinion and taste in music

  • I love bad religion and I pay a lot of respect to this cover. shai Hulud actually didn't ruin it.

  • nice... :)

  • Love this song, i can´t even decide whether Bad religion version is better or not...And i LOVE Bad religion.)

  • so good.
