Everyone in music knows these guys are the best. Their production and writing credits tell it all. When you think of JJTL you instantly think of good melodies , compositions, song writing. Janet Jackson, Usher, Yolanda Adams, Boyz II Men, etc, don't bring up the neptunes, they are dope though.

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are great producers, with a real musical background and brought out the best from Cheryl Lynn, Change, Cherrelle, Thelma Houston, Alexander O'Neal and Janet Jackson back in the 80s. I have the so much respect for these guys. Love their sound and always had!

@Bartender1986 I must disagree. I love Jimmy and Terry since the 80s, but the Neptunes are bigger in termes of commercial success and influence. They turned Hip Hop upside down in the late 90s and the 00s. they worked with every big pop and hip hop artist and gave them a major career like Britney Spears (Slave for you, reinvented her carreer) and Justin Timberlake! for example. Dont get me wrong, Jimmy and Terry ARE LEGENDS,but they were very prince-influenced. the neptunes made their own sound
