then i presume the shrimp escape will work with a straight forward heel hook as well. it's risky but next time at training i'm going to put myself in straight foot lock and heel hook to test my escapes.

the main thing is to keep calm. often i find myself ready to tap before even attempting to defend because i'm scared of the outcome, having an ankle dislocation in the past!
