  • This is definately not about a humanized birth. This baby wanted to be held and protected by mommy!

  • Awe godless him reminds me if my baby boy have fun

  • Did you really name your child J'Dub? Thats so sad. I hope its a nicknae

  • The plastic was way to tight on its little feet, what moron could not see that?they were going blue for crying out loud!!!,and It dont have a clefted out face, one thing less to deal with. Jdub?

  • @NAMTRIP Um thats the ink left over of his foot print they took for the birth certificate ...

  • @ArmenianPrincess118 Thanks for the reply.

  • the way his chin wobbled at some points while he was crying was so adorable

  • his feet were turning blue....was the bracelet on to tight or was he cold?

  • @msjojos2116 no there feet are always blue mine was

  • stupid nurse cover the baby he she is feeling cool....

  • When I was a newborn I never got the hepatitis b shot or vitamin k shot or the ointment for the eyes. I was never suctioned at birth either. My children were put on my belly after brith while daddy cut the cord, not suctioned at birth & not given the ointment in there eyes. My son did have a yellow discharge coming out of his eyes on his day of birth, I was told that was normal, it wasn't he was born with a blocked tear duct, & would often get eye infections while he was on antibiotic eye drops

  • The baby is NOT cold laying there on the isolette. There is a warmer right above him that you cannot see in the picture. Plus the nurse cannot not assess him all wrapped up in a blanket! He'll get two immunizations, a Vit K (for clotting) and Hep B, that is probably what she was preparing to do, along with wt, and length measurements and applying ointment to his eyes to protect from infection.

  • When I looked back at my pictures of my son who was being pusehd out by rapid contractions with the cord wrapped around his neck twice, and I had to stop pushing for daddy to cut the cord, and he was born healthy with 8/9 apgars, I do see blueness in his hands and feed, and it was normal, I discharged my little home 24 hours after his birth.

  • so cute

  • Poor thing,his cry is ADORABLE! He's like "I've had a long day" ... tee hee :D

  • Awwwwwwww SOOOO CUTE!

Why are the baby's feet that color?

  • @arose4lee almost all babies are a bluish color when they are born, especially their hands and feet. once they make the jump from the umbilical cord supplying oxygen to their own lungs, that color goes away. it looks frightening but its actually harmless. just part of the process of birth : )

  • Will somebody PLEASE pick up that baby?!?!

  • This was so hard to watch-he is not a specimen, he is a baby! Someone put a blanket on him and cuddle with him for crying out loud he's your new born baby and you won't even touch him?!?! There is something very wrong here.

  • i like how people are commenting on a three year old video to put a blanket on the baby

  • I thought it was bad to use the flash on a newborn baby...

He is so adorable but in desprerate need of a blanket

  • PUT A FRICKIN BLANKET ON HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

  • crying sounds like a sheep/goat o_o

    But he's cute as hell

  • WHy did you nake it J'dub?

  • Hahah J'dub is a cute name! What a beautiful baby (:

  • aww beautiful baby boy :) i agree with everyone, he needs to be wrapped up and held:) his itty bitty feet n hands r freezin! :)

  • oh i hate it when the nurses turn the babies all rough... don't they see they're small...!!!

  • He is breathtakin and in need of a blanket and a cuddlin, but I dont believe in nurseries neither of my babies went in them and my last I had him at home I dont trust anyone havin my child without my supervision esp w/ the world bein as messed up as it is right now

  • the cry at 0:23 =( i would give that baby a big hug what a cutie

  • tats not nice the babys wee lips r shakin wit fright poor wee man

  • Aaaw, he's beautiful! But I noticed he's holding his hand up near his face as the cameea flashes start, and it looks like he's thinking, "Oh, not the paparazzi! I'm not ready for the paparazzi right now!" lol

  • Is that joshua?

  • This brought back memories peeking at my son in the warmer. I love those heaters. They are nice and toasty for baby. And it looks like their just monitoring baby. After birth they always monitor baby to make sure everything is ok. After all is well baby goes to mommy and the feedings begin. Congratulations!

  • Aww hold him =[

  • how adorable is he!

  • Aww, so sweeeeet! Don't worry people, baby is under a heater.

  • he sounds so distraught poor little thing

  • Pick the poor thing up why don't you! Just sitting there talking and laughing and not even reaching out to the baby. He looks cold and scared.

  • Hands and feet usually stay purple-blue for a while... they are the last thing to get "pink"

  • the color of his feet worries me...but he's so cute =3

  • @TomasuOtori i think its frm whne they took his foot prints but i see what you mean they look like they have poor circulation

  • yeah that is what i was thinking...but it's from the foot prints...=)

  • at 25 it sounds like a sheep

  • j'dub is the cutest baby iv ever seen. wow congratulations. how old now

  • what a beautiful healthy looking baby! congratulations.

  • aww.hes so kute

  • Adorable baby. I would have found it hard not to pick it up and console it.

  • his real name is jdub? :(

  • They were assessing the baby it looks like. I can see some acrocyanosis on his feet! That's a normal finding though =P

  • awh! his chin wobbles when he cries, wrap him up in a nice warm blanket!

  • how cute!

  • Someone needs a very big hug, and a cuddly warm blanket. This freezing !

  • I see it the same way. You should have rather taken the baby in your arms than film it. Sorry...

  • he's not freezing all babies quiver their lips when they cry...well most of them do.i should know, i work at a daycare every summer.

  • Comment removed

  • aww, the little lip quiver - so cute.

  • how cute

  • Hes beautiful but stop chit chatting and get a blanket round the poor little man.xx

  • Are they supposed to cry like that...like in short spurts....shouldn't it be wrapped up...or someone holding it...

  • He's perfect!

  • day 1 still tired from the move...

  • thank christ j'dub is a nickname. The name sounds like a Twi'lek.

  • Such a gorgeous little cry aaw how proud you both must be!

  • so adorable I love hearing newborns cry.

  • The most beautiful sound in the world is their first cries. After that it can get annoying JK. Beautiful Baby! I so look forward to my baby in the futrue. I love them so!

  • Baby is adorable!!! Very cute!!!

  • He is beautiful!

  • Why are his feet pale like that? (no offense , i`m just wondering)

  • i was just going to ask that why is his feet are that way, do u think those little whote bands are too tight?

  • Keep in mind that this baby was 20 minutes old. His blood has yet to circulate enough times, especially to the feet. (I think)

  • it takes about 6 weeks for blood to circulate properly to the hands and feet...depending on the baby...

  • I keep watching this clip. The kid is adorable. God bless. Can not wait till my baby boy is born.

  • I*m having a boy too actually. not many days left to go, hope everything will go fine and I wish you the best of luck.

  • Congrats. Hope everything goes well for you. Best luck to you too.

  • oh my God he is so cute, I*m pregnant myself and will have a baby in about a month. Í keep watching this clip over and over, I simply cant het over how lovely he is, you are so blessed by God. Congrats to you.

  • he looks like mr. magoo

  • Aw .... Poor little kid looks cold..

    He is adorable!

  • So cute!!!!

  • Did you really name your baby J'Dub?

  • no, Joshua

  • aww look at him! he is so cute.his widdle cheeks *laughs*

  • His name isnt actually jdub is it?

  • That is the cutest thing ive ever seen, when his lil lip starts to quiver... so cute.... im having mine in 3 days :-)

  • hes beautiful:)

  • poor baby has blue feet and is cold, we have a small baby and if he was my baby i would be cuddling him and putting him in a warm blanket, cute baby tho

  • thats from his feet prints..that why his feet were blue

  • omg sooooo adorable =D he cries so CUTEEEE!

  • Aww.. they are so cute.. babies are wonderful and stressful but they are worth it. im lucky to be an uncle and i wouldnt trade it for anything in the world, because these babies are Gift from God.

  • Watching this makes me fret- poor little guy looks so cold and helpless, you just want to hold him close to your heart and comfort him.

What a gorgeous baby! God Bless. :)

  • omg i love the chin quiver! my baby is due in 5 days...im patiently waiting...soooooooo cute!!!

  • He is so cute I too not long ago had a new addition to our family my God-Daughter Samara she is my world babies are so precious

  • how sad! that baby is cold. my sis's newborn baby cries when he's cold when they change his diaper.

  • Newborn baby J'dub

  • miricles.

  • what a sweet heart, he's precious

  • Almost all newborn babies cry with a quivering mouth, it will disappear within a month or two... It is very cute, and will most likely bring any new mother's maternal instinct on. I have two babies who both cried like that, and no - they were not being cold. It takes them a while to adjust to the outside world, and rest assured that the little one was wrapped snugly in a blanket once he had been checked out! Babies are gorgeous, this one no exeption! Congratulations mum and dad, good job!

  • dont you love that!

  • I want another baby!! They are so lovable and once you have a child, your life is never the same, it's better than ever. We adopted six babies right at birth.

  • This is the cutest baby! I love his little quivering lip and sweet little cry! Definetly not it distress but adjusting to his new surroundings! I'm having my baby any day now and trust that Doctors know what they're doing!

  • That baby is not cold :) Also, you're not allowed to hold them until they do whatever it is that they need to...tests, warmer...etc. I have a daughter, I know :)

  • having had three babies and my fourth due in 3 weeks, I can safely say that this little bub is NOT cold. The hospital delivery rooms are designed to be warm as toast, and all babies have a check up before being wrapped up. he is not in distress (just born babies ALL cry), so unless you know what you are talking about, dont post saying he is cold!!

  • Maternity wards are always warm, almost womb like, so the baby won't be cold.

  • whatta cutie

  • totally...this baby is freezing cold!

  • THE BABY iS COLD!

  • Beautiful baby, looks just like mine!

  • honestly. if you cant handle the video..DONT WATCH IT!

  • Poor baby his body is all purple

  • makes me wanna have one :)

  • thats great

  • the feet are obviously purple cuz they usually ink the baby's hands and feet for prints as soon as its born, duh

    btw- cute baby!! ;)

  • Is it just me or does it look like the circulation to the baby's feet is being cut off? They look awfully purple to me.

  • hahahaa!! omg this baby's cry is awesome!! he like jiggles his jaw, it makes him sound like hes driving down a bumpy road! freakin sweet!

  • he is so cute.

  • awe hes so gorge! im having a little boy soon and cant wait to meet him.

    xoxox

  • J'dub?

  • gosh, maybe its cause i'm pregnant.. this video is breaking my heart.. he's so confused, everything has changed so much. too much wide open space for baby, he wants mama.

    your son is beautiful!

  • this is quiet sad, the baby is freezing and you ALL u do is look ..have a look at his feet

  • It isn't freezing, it's blood circulation making its way through. I seriously doubt a hosipital would let a newborn's feet turn blue because it's freezing to death.

  • LINDISIMO!!!!!!!

  • Darling little boy!

  • omg sooo cute

  • aww j'dub is adorable!

and my sons name on his birth certificate is JayDub!!!!!

and we call him baby Jay!

    or J'Dub

  • Yall know babies have no knee caps when they're borN!? Crazy right?

  • Oh I swear I just heard him go "Baahhhhhhhh" like a little lamb :) Cute.

  • that is so sad!

  • ooh he is so sweet, I can't wait to have this moment on tape from my daughter!

    3 weeks to go...

  • Aw, he didn't like that camera flash at all! Aw, so cute =)

  • how cute

  • yyou can tell its a boy

  • the poor babies feet are blue! looks cold. but will be warm with mom and dad soon.:) precious baby by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The babies hands and feet are blue as an infants circulation is still very primitive. The baby has what is call cyanotic hands and feet.

The circulation improves after a while, and they become pink. The baby would be under a heat lamp and would not be cold.

Though I must agree, if baby can't be with mummy at least have daddy hold bub until she can. Skin to skin contact is crucial in the early stages.

*BTW, you have a gorgeous Son, Afwhipple. :)

  • sounds like the baby is going "baaaaaaaaaaa" lol xD cutie

  • Put a fuzzy warm woolen hat on babies head and fuzzy watm booties put baby in a blankie so momma can have cuddles

  • Momma was still having her insides sewn back together at this point.

  • haha!

    xD

  • Yes I agree that the baby was cold!!!!!!!!!!He or she also looks like that were handled roughly. I had a similar experience with my daughter. I finally took over her care and got her away from the nurses. It was hard on me but I knew that she would be warm and well cared for.

  • What a sweet little angel baby!!

  • so precious god bless

  • so cute reminds me of my first baby boy

  • so cute. Im expecting my first baby, a girl, on June 27th. Im so nervous and excited :)

  • cute!! all tiny babies look the same. My nephew was born 2 days ago. On Feb 18th, 2008

  • It says baby was 20mins old when video was taken, and noone had been proactive improving this child's cirulation. There seems to be no concern by parents/medical staff of his condition&his temperature. If this video was taken in England,I have no doubt that it would be investigated by authorities&questions asked.I can assure you babies aren't left with blue hands'n'feet 4 20mins without someone senior assessing,if the midwife feels its out of her control here in UK

  • whyd you gotta go and make it about the UK vs. US? How do you know someone wasn't already on the situation? How do you know that this is common in America? We've got the 3rd largest population in the world, I think for the most part, our babies are doing just fine!!

  • Sorry if you feel that way. I wasn't making comments about US v UK! Not at all. Just saying that I find this video quite alarming, and I was mearly pointing out the fact that your midwives work differently to ours. Also, if someone was'on the situation'as you put it,the midwives wouldn't be preoccupied as to whether 'there is enough light to take photos'!

  • I'm sure people don't realize that this was an emergency c-section. The baby was being evaluated and monitored. Not to mention he was on a heated bed. Were this a natural delivery he would have been all snuggly in a blanket and nursing away at this point.

  • janie I totally agree with you

  • The childs extremmeties are blue which means he failed that section of his APCAR score,so the midwives should have been actively trying 2warm him up and make his skin'pink'Secondly, he is obviously freezing so why on earth hasn't he got a blanket over him?If I was on duty I would be looking at his chest concaving when he breaths and getting the paedotrician to take a quick look2ensure he is ok.What is going on with people taking flash photos of a freezing baby&not helping him.Makes me angry.

  • Are you a doctor? I think the nurses know what they're doing.

  • Im training to be a midwife!

  • u know ur stuff ,you've been doing ur homework good job

  • I was wondering about his chest concaving myself...glad you noticed, too. Is that common is newborns?

Besides that, this was an adorable video, and the baby is beautiful! I love his quivering chin when he cries!

  • babies go through alot when their born its all a big change for them from being in a nice warm bubble for 9 months then coming into a noisey room with people looking at them :-)

  • Thats adorable

  • That's a precious baby!!I think all the backround noise was scaring him though!!

  • plz god put me back this is to much for me i have got a headach all ready and i aint but 20 minits old

  • mann he needs to be under a blanket, cuddled, fed.....im achin for sum1 to pick him up

  • why did'nt the mum or dad oick baby up to cuddle ..

  • congrats

  • I cant wait till I married and have a baby. I am still single and I hate being single and alone:(

  • aww that baby looks really sad... thats a sad lonely cry.

  • my third baby is due in june, and even though im emotional at the minute as it is lol his little cry and wobbly chin bring a tear to my eye everytime. a real cutie! :)

  • aww he's cute vut he's crying which makes me sad.

  • They are probably purple because they printed his feet. He does look like
