AWWW! this reminds me of my old bunny peater! i raised him from when he didnt have hair till like 3 months then my stupid sister gave him a heart attack.
I could feed them right into their nest. So they can have double food from me and from mother in case I am wrong and she is feeding them...and to save them in case I am right and she is not around.
I found wild rabbit nest under my flowers, there are bunny babies! I left them where they are, there are many rabbtis around our house at night, I hope that one of them is their mother. But I never see her on the nest feeding them. I worry a little. Only one baby seems to be active with open eyes and moves when I open to check them. Other almost don't move and don't open their eyes. But they are alive...may be they are too weak because mother doesnt feed them? may be I have to feed them?
Super cute! It'd be too easy to get attached to such a cute little fellow after caring for it for so long. I imagine how difficult it must be for volunteers getting to take care of these cute little guys and then having to let them go for release.Did you guys know that as volunteers, you aren't allowed to pet or comfort wild animals that are in your care? The reasoning behind that is that the animal could become attached & then lose their natural fear of humans which they need in order to survive.
Yeah they are so if you ever fine one just leave it where you found it or call the wild life in your area...please people they are very cute but delicate.
Ok so my dog caught this wild baby bunny (I got it away from her before it got hurt and it was healthy) Could I keep it until it is an adult or would that be a bad idea?
this is a serious question: how can you "adopt" such a cute little rabbit, feed it, let it sleep at your house. and then just releasing it to the wild... i just couldnt resist...i would have to keep it :)
@TonyBanana08 The first few wild animals I released were difficult. I really overly worried about them and kept checking up on them. They were fine. Over time it becomes easier. Some will be killed by predators or cars. At least I gave them a chance to be healthy and free.
Ah and thats the way of life. At least they had a good time under you. Plus the way i see it, regardless of what you believe in, all animals go to a good place when they die.
So, me and a few students founds some wild baby bunnies around our school hiding behind a trashcan for a few days. We put them in a recycling bin with a bunch of grass and this girl took them. I'm pretty positive she either took them to a vet or to the creek behind our school. I was wondering if they'd be killed because of our "human scent"
I have to say that my hat is off to you. I have raised squirrels, opossums, raccoons, skunks, foxes, and bobcats, all of which were released. Bunnies and I do not mix. Can't raise them for some reason.
i recently had a few orphaned baby bunnies if u guys have some do not giive them to much attention my died from a stroke because of too much human contacrt
Aww :'( this makes me sad! This baby bunny looks like the one I tried to nurse back to health after a lawn mower attack...I named her/him Bun Bun and gave it a burial in dandilions and clover. :'(
The reason why bunnies shit rainbows is because it is their form of adaptation to survival. when they get hunted by predators, it is the ones that can get rid of feces (extra weight) quicker and thus run faster. As with everything in life it is always the kind and the innocent that get it.
In the summer my dad was watering our bean plants and a bunch of baby bunnies jumped out. One couldn't get out because of the fence! So we picked it up and put it in a container. I got to feed it and then we put it back in the beans. I still see it as an adult today around my house!
please tell the well meaning people how many times per day this needs to be done. I love your work. My mother saw a video thought it would be easy.. Thank GOD the parents trusted her enough to come to her door to feed and take care of baby. Alot of hard work, long hours goes into this. You make it look easy, but you are one hard working person.!
