Eric Lander appears on NOVA's documentary "Cracking the Code of Life," and very much contributed to my interest in biology. He has an ability to discuss complex subjects in a way that are inviting and understandable.
OOPS! 70mV/3nm is over 400,000 V/m, not V/cm. Otherwise, I enjoyed it, but biology and physics should be in harmony. We should dump the cgs, anyway, after we dump the archaic English system of measurement.
As someone who never had a decent course in biology in college, I am fascinated by just what has changed in the 36 years since I had it in high school (BSCS, only for advanced students).
Damn this guy is good, this has made me remember why i love Biology so much. And yeah it does appear to be introductory we did this a few week ago in the AP Biology equivalent here in the UK, give or take a few details.
As a layperson, this lecture left me in absolute awe...I am learning so much...loved how he tied in everything at the end with multiple sclerosis (the myeolin sheath, excuse the spelling)

He has great charisma. Is this really an "introductory" class. Holy crap. MIT must be really, really hard
