@claireshana I think you're mis-interpreting me. I think that Miki could use Mao and Sasha as examples of taking artistry a step further. I neither think she skated poorly nor that she didn't skate with emotion. I merely stated that I think she could go a little further with the emotion. Which is not a knock on her skating, but this music (as someone getting a degree in music) has a lot in it to emphasize that she could take advantage of.

Thank you for uploading this video. I missed this competition when it was held. Wow, what a wonderful performance it was. I think this is absolutely the best I had seen Miki skated ever. It is great that she can keep up in her top form. So happy for her to win this competition for her country during this difficult time when her country needed the inspiration. So happy for Miki!!!

I don't understand how THIS performance got over 130 points. Don't get me wrong... I have NOTHING against Miki Ando. I genuinely think she is technically talented, but if you look at her scores from before.. her FS scores were around mid 120s..ALWAYS. She had no 3-3 combo here and there was a mistake. She's not even an artistic skater so her component scores would not have been that high... I don't get it. Her FS scores got SO much higher this season with no reason...

@currentgem Yup, obviously overscored with this backloaded, PCS propped performance. There were some improvement in the spins, and maybe artistry in the short, but this LP is nothing special. Miki's PCS should not really be over even Mao's, even tho Mao faltered in this competition.

she's SO incredibly SLOW compared to yuna, it's incredibly boring to watch. No real passion or emtion, no real strenght. Many skaters have the technical ability (Have all triples close to triple axel), flexibility (Most incredible spirals and bielman with great stretches), and artistry (something to get the crowd excited and be part of the performance like Michelle Kwan). It's hard to find all three. There are skaters from Russia that can do triple triple triples at 10 now. No one in the world is best ever.

It is just apparent that Ando won only because Yuna faltered a little bit.... her general impression of the skating and artistry and general polishing of jumps and skating just doesn't even come close to Yuna's skating. Her skating is simply series of not so polished jumps with not much in between to enjoy for the viewers, not to mention her general choreography didn't represent the music that was being played very well, as well as the music itself being not very well edited.

Carolina Kostner deserved the silver medal, and Miki Ando should've won the short program outright. Yet another case of a certain skater getting grossly overscored when her jumps were small. The judges should've looked at the tape & seen that the overscored skaters' jumps weren't anything near as big as they've been in the past. Funny, the same thing happened last year at Worlds as well.

None of my friends do and we all think it is disgausting. I heard that the dogs are special ones brought up to be eaten - theres a certain species for it. I still dont like the idea, but I guess sick people do need to eat it for strength - some patients need it for energy or something...so I guess only sick people eat dogs? i dont know
