1. They are beautiful things.

2. They are often VERY stubborn.

@phatbieu Its the same method, people are mislead into thinking that its different for each os.

@Alloyd258 i tried it many ways still get 1602. some guys with ireb4 claim to fix but still not. You guys may have "new update firmware" on top of an already jailbroken one. it's completely different than then brand new.

I was just wondering, in my un-jailbroken apple tv2, whenever i airplay any video (even video shot on the iphone4) apple tv2 eventually says "This content requires HDCP...", if i jailbreak and install Plex or XBMC and stream my videos, did you encounter this? did you ever encounter the HDCP error at all, even in the un-jailbroken apple tv2?

Hey, I can see the SP_Restore.ipsw file, as you mentionned so I assumed that it has been jailbroken but I can't find the Custom ipsw file so I can restore in itunes, I've searched all over the PC, I've tried to process several time, I now have a few SP_Restore ipsw file on the pc but no custom ipsw. I'm using seas0npass 4.4.4. Any ideas ?

@BadBigBruce SP_Restore.ipsw is the file, I say "Custom Firmware" when referring to the custom firmware which is the SP_Restore.ipsw

@moingithings Hmm... Make sure your ATV firmware it up to date, make sure season pass is up to date, restart and try again, is probably the best advice I can offer. Also try using another computer, It didn't work on the first computer I tried it on either. Oh and be patient ;)

Hey! Mine isn't working. I am doing every thing as shown and how I am suppost to. But when i connect the apple TV to my TV it's just the same. Nothing has happened. Please help

@qpreben It looks pretty much the same after you jailbrake it, compared to pre-jailbroken. The noticeable changes occur when you install either aTV Flash or MiRow. Then you will be able to see the changes in settings.

If i do the jailbreak i discover that the original apple posibilety for fotostream is gone. Is that normal or is that a bug ?

If the jailbreak runs correctly you shouldn't loose any of the default applications.

But in the rare cases that you do loose something, just restore with iTunes and try again.

I am getting the error message. In your tutorial you dont seem to mentions to restore the custom firmware with itunes. I am getting the error message - but u seem to suggest that after that error message the jailbreak process is done, which is not correct as far I understand. I am stuck at restore where itunes keep throwing error 1600. Anyway out..? Have trued googling for 48 hrs! No luck yet!

@drharis Have you made sure you followed all instructions properly? From my experience, it takes a bit to get it working properly.

Here are the steps again if you missed any.

1) Download .ipsw via iTunes.

2) Open season pass and hold 'Shift+Click' to select the .ipsw

3) Locate the custom .ipsw and let seas0npass do its thang.

4) After its done, connect your ATV to your computer via the USB cable AND power cable.

5) Make sure its been picked up by iTunes.

6) Then let the script do its thing.
