@songswearpants2 He can totally seem like that. It often seems like he has NO flaws. Saves this, saves that. But sometimes... have you seen "The Waters of Mars"? He ends up not saving anyone (Well, not the person he was aiming to save the most), and a huge flaw breaks through. He *freaks out* and has pride, domination, and general scariness issues. Also, another thing that makes him not-sue is that when he was a kid, he (oh, snap, I'm going to need two comments for this. Sorry.)

I just love debating and I've thought about this issue quite a bit before) - when the Doctor was a kid, he murdered a fellow student. That's right- he - yeah. I won't get detailed. It was scary when I found out about it. Dude. It's canon. He and the Master burned the body and never told anyone. He wasn't unprovoked, he was actually attempting to save the Master (oh, no, it's going to be three comments! SORRY!)

@songswearpants2 from this jerk who was almost drowning the Master, but the murder isn't what technically makes redeems the Doctor's Sue-quality. Not the redeeming thing I'm talking about, anyway. The thing that makes him flawed, really, grittily flawed, is that he ended up letting all the blame go onto the Master. NOT just the physical blame, so to speak, but the guilt and the pain was ALL transferred to the Master, who was his *best friend*. (OH NO! FOUR COMMENTS! I SWEAR THAT WILL BE IT!

@songswearpants2 It's complicated how it happened, but the fact stands - the Doctor pushed all the guilt and blame and internal agony that came from the murder onto the Master. And that's a lot of what sent the Master down the wonky, twisted path he ended up going down. The Doctor was destined for that path, but he pushed his best friend onto it, which is jaw-droppingly selfish. All this from a Classic Who audiobook (called "Master" or something). He's arrogant, too, but i'll shut up now.
