  • 18th century of Pure Junk

  • this isn't the righ air

  • I don't get this song. It sounds like someone who was high made it.

  • @tubeplunger I bet they were high. The song is from the 1700s and is a satire of something written in the 1500s!, Tolkien got hold of it in the 1940s and wrote his idea of what it might "originally" have been. I used to laugh my ass off reading his version, which does have people getting high in it. Well, drunk, anyway! Including the cat! Hic!

  • I'd really like to know how this nursery rhyme came about

  • I saw this when I was 3 OMG! Its been years!

  • I love how little kids movies could be so funny for us (that are older.).

now all the movies we watch are either very violent or love stories...

not like it's bad, but the world could be as simple like little kids' thoughts.

am a fan of sesame street!

  • 16 people obviously didnt have good childhoods to even cosider disliking this. sooo many fun memories of sesame street.

  • I remember this song and the tune over twenty years after I stopped watching Sesame Street. Thanks for posting this, brings back great memories.

  • The little dog laughed to see such SPORT. Why did they change the poem? Dumbing down the kids?

  • @amommamust Nursery rhymes differ, they have many different variations, some small, some big

  • @amommamust - Heck, it used to say "to see such craft" (to rhyme with laughed)! You should read the J.R.R. Tolkien version. It has a whole story to it. I remember thinking he'd found and translated an original song that the familiar nursery rhyme was just like a quotation from or something. He has it as "to see such fun" also, "and the Saturday dish went off at a run with the silver Sunday spoon." Hee!

  • this was the 1st song I learned how 2 sing :D yay 4 the cow jumping the moon :DDD

  • EP 149 SEASON 7

  • Thank you!

  • Are you sure?

Because I'm looking for the episode where it's a game show with Gordon Blue, Ida Nomer and Luke Warm.

So if you know which episode this is in particular, please let me know. The reason why I thought it was this episode was because this skit was aired before the Game show one with the above characters every time.

  • Hahaha. Does anyone else think of RENT's "Over The Moon" When they hear this?
