I love the triumphant swell at :56 when you see the Enterprise, and you realize the brilliance of Kirk's plan. And then the camera pans up, to the other side of Regula, and Khan's theme kicks you in the teeth; you see the Reliant, and you know that shit's about to go down.

This score's very similar to that of the new movie, when you really think about it.

This was the first Star Trek movie I saw--back in '82--and it was this film that made me want to watch the original series.
