@personzoo I'n not a big believer in getting the updates. if its not broken, dont try and fix it. the only thing i would say is neat in the update is the internet calling, and i can do without it.

Okay so, I just baught my LG shine plus a month ago... and my contacts all got deleted out of nowhere?? Has anyone else had this problem.. and how do you fix it? Because I can't add contacts back.. but i'm going to take it in and see if they can help me, but it'd be nice if I could fix it myself. :l

i just got this phone and it seems pretty good but the only issue i have is connecting it to my computer. I would like ot transfer files from ym computer to the phone but everytime i try and hook it up it doesnt download the software properly. any idea whats going on here?

@MrJswift77 I've Had this problem too. Find Settings, then go to SD Card And phone storage, then enable Mass Storage Only. Then you have to connect it, and find what USB port that it's plugged into. Then go to DCIM (I don't know if it's in a folder in a folder or not, you'll just have to look sorry) Then drag all of your files into the DCIM folder and you're set! If you have any more questions, call the Telus support line.

I love this Phone.The teller asked me if I wanted to block my data usage. This Phone has WI-FI on it so its free to use were there is a WI-FI connection. I use the net all the time and I dont get charged works good and my bill stays low.

I got this phone less than a week ago and it is great, good store because it runs on Android, nice keyboard, screen, and camera but there is one huge problem. From the lock screen there is an "Emergency Call" button that you can use without unlocking the phone. A good feature but 911 is already dialed. This past week I have pocket dialed 911 twice! Getting a new phone that doesn't do this tomorrow, sad.

I HAD TO FIGHT THEM TO REDUCE IT! Like I'd lie about it... you just believe what you want - I KNOW. My bill came in @ $920.87 for that 1 MONTH!! Even the mobility stores manager was stunned as her phone drew over 5 Gigs. The phone itself is awesome.

I'm a VERY long term TELUS (15 years+) cell and phone customer (I've even worked there myself as have MANY of my family members) and have had a major issue with this new phone. As to your comment regarding turning off the data completely - that freakin' tidbit would have been IMPORTANT don't you think when I was sold the phone?! Especially since this is my 1st data phone? And the data usage was indeed $628.00 for less than 1 months use so don't tell me it's bullsh*t..

YES!!! My daughters phone, while sitting on but not being used, drew over $600.00 in data charges. Those phones are horrible for it and my provider TELUS won't deal with it. Be VERY aware of this issue and there is a widget to turn off and on the data but I didn't get this with the phone...

@daizigurl dont listen to her shes probably from RIM or something. first of all there is a button right from the main connections menu that can turn off data completely, and there is also a setting in the options that can turn off data completetly, you dont need any widget. also I was in shanghai on the other side of the world - data roaming- and i was charged 43$ for the month. and i dont even have a data plan, i have a pay per use data plan. that it could be $600 is nonsense.

@malzecone yes it is possible.  Even with data turned off, it will tend to default when turned on again, my bosses daughter just got hit with a 300$ bill because of that. The widget does work better as it keeps the data off at all times even on reboot. pls educate yourself before you respond. It is an android phone and by default it is set up to turn data on and no I am not a RIM person, cant stand rim too easy to hack just like android and microsoft.

@daizigurl I had the same problem a $200.00data usage bill .I called support at telus and they refused to tell me were the data usage charges were coming from .I downloaded a user app and found by using one app at a time it was Facebook.Delete Facebook and it stoped tried just turning it off but it would turn itsself back on when the phone started up.The phone needs an unlimited data plan which Telus does not supply used 6800 plus megabites upload last month now none.

@LiveLaughLoveForevz there are no major problems, sometimes you will see a bug now and again, but its rare and minor, like: sometimes in landscape mode, if you click on 'today' while looking at your calendar agenda it doesnt go 'today', instead it goes back a week, but it doesn't happen all the time. once in a while, it comes and goes, weird things like that.

i was thinking about etting this phone- a couple problems i need to get cleared up. 1.Im with Rogers so i cant switch to TELUS yet, is there still anyway i can get this phone from them without signing up? 2. I dont have a data plan and if if ur with Rogers u know that they have kind of a pay-per-use for data on the non smart phones, will that still work for me? i mainly text and call, need something with wifi, good touch screen, preferably a qwerty keyboard too. @Aerosmithfan507 bring your sim card to telus and see if they will let you put it in to try it. If it works they will let you buy the phone outright.

@MohanABK 1. yes there is 2. i could customize everything i could imagine. so 5/5 3 yes you just need to download the andExplorer app.

@EliteRofltaco. the facebook app totally integrates itself into the phone, so it will update your contacts when you sync. and you can do pretty much all the basic stuff from the app that you can do from a computer. you can also upload photos with one button.
