It is more than credible in it's congruences though, when comparing forwards to reverse. The probability is indeed slim that it always turns up that way, there is nothing definite about reverse but there is definitely substance and a great lie detector.

I'm still open to the possibiity of reverse speech analysis. But I cross analyzed Oats recordings with Art Bell in 1998 and I found that he was editing the sounds and putting them together to make them sound like they were saying something. All I did was re-wire a tape recorder, and listened to the Art Bell show backwards, and voila, the fraud was exposed. I'm still investigating the reverse speech, but don't be fooled, record his examples, and play them backwards and see if they are edited.

Anyone using a PC can use the "sound recorder" in Accessories, then record, then go to effects and select reverse. You claim David edited the sounds, without any proof. Post the recordings, we can reverse them to decide if there is any truth in what you are saying. Personally I doubt it... there are so many reversals available there is no need to edit sound clips to get them...

@GotPsi1111 Unfortunately those recordings were lost a long time ago. If you go back in the archives of the Art Bell show around 1998 there may be some recordings of him with David Oates. They had a falling out right after this time, so this is probably the last interview with him. I didn't have the capability to record, and reverse audio, and edit it, but David Oates certainly did. I used a modified auto-reverse tape recorder to listen to the show backwards. Heavily edited.

@harmono Once again it's so easy to record and reverse recordings using Audacity that having to use an actual tape recorder is a bit laughable. Although at the time I could see why you would have used a tape recorder. Nowadays though you could always buy a cheap 5, 10 dollar mic or use a cheap mp3 player with a built in mic and use any audio editing program to reverse the audio. I've experimented with reverse speech myself, and I might have found something interesting, but it could be perception

@FrosDOwnz Fros, This was back in 1998. I barely had a Pentium back then. I used an a tape recorder to record the show then played them back on an auto reverse cassette player. They were actually selling these things on the show. Just taking a two hour recording and playing it in reverse was not feasible. I didn't have enough hard drive space, and it would take hours to reverse the recording. I had no means to record it on the computer. I had dial up service then too.

I agree there are many reversals out there, but when I was listening it seemed he was using editing to put together stuff in some places just to get more material quickly. Art Bell also objected to him using metaphors all the time. When you pick and chose what you can edit out you can find all kinds of things, then if you say they are metaphors, then nonsense becomes relavant. Here's the link to the last show. The particular interview was with Art Bell and was from 1993. The radio interview was much, much longer and more in depth, and much more convincing. Weather it's real or not is up to debate, but it's definately interesting. I don't know what else is out there, but the radio interview was much more convincing!
