The lyrics mean a lot to me personally; the sound and feel of it makes me think about people I love dearly and would want to protect from all bad things and people.
This song is so disturbing and haunting, yet so beautiful. The lyrics and rhythm seem to symbolise how the child would feel - guilty and confused. "I know he'd never hurt me" - the child doesn't understand abuse and why it's wrong. The echos make it dreamy and child-like. The last line of each verse sounds like someone older praying someone will help the child as they're too afraid to speak up about it. I dunno it's just what I think...such a unique and real song, which is quite terrifying :'(
