  • Fancy a bigger challenge mate. Wanna see if I've got the state of mind lol

  • I'm ex army, and doin selection soon for the royal marines. Gettin myself prepared for it :)

  • @MrJayb1987 what made you leave the army for the Royal marines mate? :)

  • What time did you have to get to the camp as I am doing the course tomorrow but have not been told when to get there

  • Im 16 and i hope to get into the Royal Marines

  • What is the point in making the dam at the start? Is it some kind of survival tactic or something?

  • @19windsurfer97 Just teamwork building

  • cant wait that the life and my dream :)

  • it is fucking class but it dus take a lot out ouf you best think i have ever done :0

  • Just got back; the most intense thing ever! I loved every second of it :D

    <3

  • Just come back from this course, it was the such a gucci week! :)

  • im doing this next week but fuck doing the last one

  • Bluddy hell, that is tough traning. Im 15 and in my last year of school, once i have finished im going into the infantry and i know it sound's ambitous but i am determined to become part of HM Royal Marines. Thanks for uploading the vid. :)

  • can you do this if your not in school or college?

  • I'm currently uploading a 2011 footage from my college very well edited good quality too :)

  • What do you have to be able to do to get an A pass?

  • @MadamKouassi well this training has 30 points to get, 26 points is around about an A grade, points are rewarded through atitude and performance. you can get a maximum of 6 points for succesfully doing 6 pull ups to marine standard and so on if you get my point

  • @MadamKouassi Oh, okay. I get it. So this is for like PRMC or something like that? Like, if you show an exemplary attitude and really push yourself physically and make an effort then you get good points? Fair enough. I'll bear that in mind, thank you for answering my question.

  • good week this. was this course that made me join

  • look at life f**k me

you havnt seen the half of it!

  • @Kris0931 Hahaha i know mate! Tell me about it... just waitin for my application to go through now so i will soon hopefully! Ha!

  • @PepperboyPARA. good luck :)

  • thanks for the quick response mate!

  • hi im joe im 14 , im joing the marines as soon as im old enought iv just started to do marine type press ups i can do them in 10 -15 at the most will i improve on them if i keep going at them ?? im a kickboxer so my cardio is quite good i go for runs on saturdays and sundays and do kickboxing everynight i do my press ups at home everynight also , can anyone give me any advice on what else to do and about the prmc training . thanks :)

  • Sprints, hill reps, run with a load (ruck sack) member rest is as important phys

  • good video mate i have my prmc in about 2 weeks now i am 16years old, i can do

    - 75 marine pressups with in 2mins

-85 marine situps with in 2mins

    -8 marine pull ups

    - reach level 11 in bleep

    - and do the 1.5 mile retur in about 9.02, will i have a good chance of passing this

please respond quickly going away soon thanks mate :)

  • @justkid415 Niiice! You should aim for a B pass mate if theres alot of people applying theyll accept nothing less because they will want thecream of the crop! You stand a good chance of passing bud good luck to you!

  • @PepperboyPARA Only a B pass? He's maxing out on upper body and at with a near on 9min return time he should get some good points for that! Max points for bleep is level 13 and 3:30 (I believe) for the Assault Course. With those stats he should get an A grade surely?

  • @justkid415 Sod b, go for A each one of them is beyond the recommended pass requirements.

  • @justkid415 im also 16 but not joining the marines till a later date probably 18, but good luck with the training and no matter what no one can take away your pride.

  • @justkid415 75 pushups. thats impressive

  • @justkid415 2 miles in 10-12 mins and you'll b fine

  • nice video!! :) right im 13 nearly 14 birthday in may (22) im in year 9 at school, i really want to join the royal marine commandos as an officer when im older is there any advice in how to pass the poc ?? as i have plenty of time to get ready and train aka get hench and know what im doing ?? :) please help !! :)

  • I have just recently came back from there from college we was there for 5 days and i gotta say was the most enjoyable and brutal exerpience i have ever had :) so really worth it at the end, and if anyone is looking to join the marines but bot sure try n go here cus it is quality ... them tunnels tbh was the worst for me cus i am costerfobic to the max :P

  • The US Marine Corp basic is 13 weeks just to become a marine then you have three other schools to go to

  • @TheMrShankapotomus 32 weeks to become a Royal Marine. then you go to mauntain troop, desert survival, jungle survival, arctic survival... get the pic?

  • @TrooperLFC That and you train for your job everyday like infantry does marches and combat operations and you train around the world and eventually go to war like you supposed to

  • How small is the tunnel inside???

  • @EllisFitz1995 only slightly larger than your shoulders... its half filled with water too you only have about 7 inches head room for you to breathe in from what i remember!

  • I'm joining the royal marines next year!!! Can't fucking wait :)

  • @EllisFitz1995 Looking at your user name i guess your still in school.. dont bother joining next year go to college get your grades 90% of people dont stay in the armed forces until they retire so you will need something to fall back on if you either leave or you arent accepted into the marines. And another thing there is no point in joining until you are 18 anyway because your pention doesnt start until then.... focus on school get your gcses and go to college trust me.. ive done the same! :)

  • @Disaveli well for starters.. royal marines is the navy so your gonna have to quit the army and apply for navy

  • @Disaveli i think you should just say, i would much rather be with those tough hard nut marines, not u civilian hero's coz i wanna be an under paid treated like shit full time hero!!!

i wanna be a RM coz they are the best.....good luck anyway!!

  • awesome video.

  • @Disaveli Marines have farrr better training to that of the army go for the marines if you think youre fit enough for royal marine selection (PRMC) is ALOT harder then the army selection! i dont know about you but if you are going to a warzone like afghanistan i would like to have the best training behind me as possible!

  • Very good endurance trainng! Would like to join this Royal Marines training!

  • I was able to train with the Royal Marines when I was a Yank Marine stationed in England. Great group of guys and highly professional soldiers!!

  • @boblasher1 Sweeet! how long did you serve mate? :)

  • nice was tht test before the warm down not a bit scary lol

  • Ive just came back of this 1 weeks of training and the endurance course was the hardest thing.. especially the clay pit and crawling up the bank.. the scariest part was the sheep dip right at the end but remember, always think of 'THE STATE OF MIND' :')

  • @ISWALESYI was it the first week of bootcamp? or did u mean some1 else by "1 weeks of training"?

  • @ISWALESYI was it the first week of bootcamp? or did u mean something else by "1 weeks of training"?

  • @catbearlol I just went with college for a look at royal marines life.. my advice will be give 100% throughout because they are marking you all the time and at the end of the week they tell you if you passed or not

  • @ISWALESYI oh, i thought i was talking to some1 else :P ive allready served 2 years in the norwegian army, 6months of them in afghan. ive been through my share of these sort of things

  • @catbearlol oo haha yeah well you should pass the tests aslong as your fit and heathy x

  • @ISWALESYI im confused...i have no plans to sign up for the rmc :P i was asking u, if u had just been in the boot camp. as a recruit..

  • @catbearlol oriteee.. well im applying in january soo i should pass the tests which i have already done when i did the 1 week course then i will have to do the 32 weeks prmc course soo that will be difficult

  • @ISWALESYI Look at life is just a taster of selection, prmc is not the training itself that is the selection process which gets you into the marines dont think that just becuase you passed the taster course you will instantly pass prmc, prmc is on a whole new level to what you did on the look at life course you will find it ALOT harder to pass prmc than the tests you did on the look at life course :)

  • looks like devon in lyndin

  • Doing this in 2 weeks

  • This looks hard but fun at the same time, I carnt wait to get the pjft and prmc out of the way and start training

  • @GrimePromotionUK ive been through similiar, allthough not as hard\tough as this. and i would say that it is indeed quite fun :) especially when you see the benefits of good teamwork.

  • Ah, okay.

Looked like a litttle bit o´ Jungle, so i thought it was in Borneo, cause thats were the RM get there Jungle Fighting Training.

  • @wearespecialists Aahah its okay man i can see where your coming from though it does kind of look similar!

  • It´s in borneo, isn´t it?

  • @wearespecialists No woodbury common in southern england :)

  • this is an insperation

  • werent quite as polite when we did it lol

  • hay whats the name of the song in the opening title? cant wait for my brothers troop to get there long break in march!

  • @timo25ification Mt eden Dubstep - Sierra Leone.... ;)

  • am in the selection process with the royal marines sittin my apptitude test soon any advice on that and the fitness? av been boxing for 7 years but expectin 10 times worse fitness trainin than ive ever had

  • @XIlTorroX Cant help with the apptitude tests imafraid i havnt done any of that this was just a taster course which is kinda like a toned down version of prmc your best bet for your fitness since your a boxer is just to look on the royal marines website and check out "get fit to apply" that will be more useful than me for someone like you it gives good instruction and plans also :)

  • @PepperboyPARA aye its cool m8 a failed ma test today mainly ma maths that let me down everything else was fine goin back in 6 months to resit it

  • @XIlTorroX Unlucky mate! get down to a local college and do nightschool for maths or something or just revise revise revise thats what i need to do im shite at maths and english hahaa

  • Brings back memories of when i did it 2 years ago :) loved every min of it :) cant wait to join up after uni :D

  • @ashdrew Its awesome im doing it again soon so i can see what my fitness is like before my prmc :)!

  • Brings back memories of when i did it 2 years ago :) loved every min of it :) cant wait to join up after uni :D

  • Sorry, is this prmc or RT cant work it out

  • @RyanHumpy Its a look at life course designed to give people an idea of what fitness you need for the marines and to give a basic idea of what life is like in themarines :) if you need infomation on prmc i can give you some sort of idea of what you need to do for fitness :)

  • @PepperboyPARA Oh right thanks mate, got my interview next passed my PJFT on monday if you have any training tips that would help thanks

  • doing this june 13th looks amazing

  • :0 ive done this XD

  • this is great video mate, i have started my process with RT and am actually looking forward till it all.

  • @manywayjay Thanks bud! :D

  • I am going on a Royal marines Look at Life soon with college. I want to join the Marines and have already started my application process. How did you find the Look at Life, and got any tips or advice?

    Thanks.

  • @ghostreconelite Sweeet ermm you will have a bleep test or VO2 max so do lots of sprinting up steep hills mixed in with regular running (try to do cross country over road running) to improve your bleep test. Pressups make sure you have the correct technique the majority of people do pressups wrong ill private message you a couple of video links for that aswell as for situps and pullups :) ermm there is a 50/50 chance you will do swimming while your down there so do some swimming also :)

    Jai :)

  • @PepperboyPARA Could you send me them links as well if that would be alrite mate because im about to apply for the royal marines and could do with some help like that, thanks. Jamie

  • good quality stuff, its inspiring to increase my fitness levels even further and mental attitude to training!

  • good quality stuff, its inspiring to increase my fitness levels even further

  • Good stuff, I'm an old ex tankie and remember the hard training when I was a junior bleeder, British Army is definitely the best

  • Not sure how long you spend at sea but when the marines arent on operations (Operations include afghanistan or anti piracy operations) they will normally be on training exercises and yes they will stop off in different ports. The royal marines are the most elite marine corps on the planet and are always the first ones in, the training itself is also the longest and toughest basic training regime on the planet as it is 9 months long compared to the united states marines corps 3 months. :)

  • @PepperboyPARA hey thank you for reply im 18 and wanna join any type of army, navy never really been on a big boat tough so whats it like ,thats sounds great tough you train and stop of in ports.Well im 160cm tall and light so am starting to train eg jogging and shit and hopefully will join after leaving cert im irish, hope im tough enough tough im small but wanna to this.

  • @deColganator No worries buddy :) If i were you i would try my hardest to get into the marines because if you want to be on the frontline you will want the best possible training behind you! I have a similar height to you i am 164 or 165 cm or 5,4ft. If youre light youre going to need to gain weight i think you need to be around 10 stone but put that weight on with muscle! have a look on the royal marines website for fitness tips! and get down to a royal navy careers office :)

  • @PepperboyPARA thanks im gona go for it hopefully going to careers office in a month my mate wants to join aswell but hes taller so good weight,, i just started training gona build up every week looking to join in summer, gona have to put on about a stone mabye less ive no weighting scales ha.

  • Was think about rm how long do you spend at sea during year and what are they like,do you spot off in counties or what happens the training looks so hard but worth it.

  • Oh this brings back some memories.

I hated this stuff but without out and the rest of the training i would have been dead within seconds of those bullent whizzing past my head. I wish to thank all my insuctors for teaching me what it's means to be a royal marine commando.

BY SEA, BY LAND BOYS! BE THE BEST!

Pepper, mate what unit you with? Or are you a insuctor or somthing?

  • @RoyalMarines2312 Ahaha i am not a marine or an instructor i am sending my application form off next month though ;) this is just a course which allows people to come and have a taste of what it takes to become a royal marines commando its not a prmc though but people do go on this course to see how fit they are and since i uploaded this video from when i was down there in june 2010 ive just been answering questions on what people should do to prepare themselves for this and their prmc :)

  • @PepperboyPARA Well, good luck to you mate.

  • @RoyalMarines2312 Cheers bud :)

  • @PepperboyPARA where do these courses be held dude? oh if u wanna gain wait, drink pint milk a day,it ups on 2lbs a wk.

  • @DONNIrish these courses are only held at the commando training sentre royal marines in lympstone in devon england you can ask about the look at life course at your local royal navy careers office and they will be able to explain the marines alot better than i have haha :) and cheers for the tip matey that will help me alot!

  • cheers for the video it helps a fair bit as i have to do the RFCC IN SEPT

  • must have been alright in the rain... when i went it was snow and ice, had to smash the ice to get through the ponds and rivers :P

  • @jamesbest92 Ohh god yeah the rain was soo refreshing to work in i did this in june and if this was in the sun i would of definately overheated! ahah

  • Um 2 things The smartie tubes are they hard and is this part of the commando course or an adition

    thanks

  • @AaronfrancisNwansi Not hard no its just psychological....to weed out the people who are scared of tight spaces. they are part of the course yes :)

  • Hi can someone please explain the endurance test to me please coz i thought it was like 3mile through mud and tunnels and 4 mile run straight afterwards or is it 3mile then break then 4mile?

  • @19ashton94 its too long to type it all out read the description for most details :)

  • Great Video,

Certainly brings back memories, dont recall what looks like a safety features on the underwater tunnels must be a new addition

  • I have done all that it brings back memories. Passed out with 73tp 23 May 1975

  • I did my PRMC last week lads. The under watter tunnel was sketchy but fine your under water for about 5 seconds max! So stop stressin! Its absoutly hanging but loved every bit of it!

  • Hey man thanks for the reply, I actually meant the tunnel where one guy pushes you through and another drags you out and you are totally under water. Thats the one that I am sketchy about.

What was that part of the course like ?

  • @moobsman1 Ohhhh right sorry my bad! Its alright you arnt down there for long you just get pushed under when you are ready you put your arms out in front of you as you get pushed through the tunnel and your mate on the other side grabs any part of you body that he finds and drags you out the other side nothing to be afraid of :) its about 2 metres the tunnel length, not far at all! last about 2 seconds total! :)

  • I have done all that it brings back memories. Passed out with 73tp 23 May 1975

Don't worry they will not kill you although you will think you are dying at times.

  • I am in the middle of joining the royal marine reserves and I was just wondering what this submerged water tunnel is really like cause if I am honest I am shitting it a bit. Can you actually move under there ?

  • @moobsman1 Its nothing if your quite small but for the bigger lads it must of been hard very tight in there! water is about half filled you just keep you head above it and shimmy yourself along using your hands and elbows and your feet you dont think about it when your doing it...but dont go first if youre worried let another lad go before you and that will make you more confident :)

  • Just got back from this, awesome thing to do, even though I spent half the time wondering what the fuck I was doing :L

  • Is this the same place that the Royal Marines recruits do their endurance course during the commando tests?

And would the Royal Marines be one of the best fighting forces in the world?

  • Yess this is at the commando training centre in lympstone, devon. It is where all royal marines go to for their training :) and yeah without a doubt they amongst the best in the world :)

  • @PepperboyPARA Thanks for the info! ;)

  • @RMCswimmerElite Thanks for viewing! ;)

  • i done the royal marines look at life course in october 2010 and it was class i cant wait for the real thing tho :D

  • Youse are a bunch of tough nutts, whats spec forces endurnace like compared to thid ?

  • @izzmander This is just a look at life course the guys you see in this are all college students :) this is similar but overall nothing compared to what the new recruits have to do in the royal marines...and special forces endurance is something like 5 times harder than this for sure! :)

  • just did all this on a course. am completely zonked.

  • @spark280 mate I think you have to be scouted by the sas and sbs but the royal marines or the paras is probably your best bet for that

  • The great big mud bath looks pretty fun but i bet it is as tirring as HELL

  • @Spark280 Ohh yeahh cant you tell look how fatigued we all are when we are crawling into the pit uphill in that small stream we had to crawl on our stomachs for the last 50 or so metres was a killer with full wet kit and on pebbles it wrecked your knees! ahahh

  • if i am a dual citizen of England and sign up 4 the marines am i then allowed 2 carry on and join a special force like the S.A.S or the S.B.S ????????????????

  • @Spark280 yeah im a dual citizen im half swedish and british and you dont have to be scouted you have to volunteer...the royal marines supply 1 3rd of special forces so yeah you have a good chance of getting into the SAS or SBS if you join although SBS is prefered by the royal marines for obvious reasons :)

  • @Spark280 yes

  • i just did this course on thursday the 30th sept 2010 found it a real tester, anyone who jooyning the marines is in for a big shot here !

  • @lozgane14 tell me about it mate im going on my second trip during the winter we still have to do all the same activities but we're gonna be breaking the ice off the water on the endurance course thats for sure! :P

  • where was this filmed ??

  • @MrUnited08 At the endurance course at woodbury common near the commando training centre royal marines in lympstone devon why you ask :)

  • @PepperboyPARA because ive been all over woodbury with the marines but never come across this part aha spose i will in 8 days :) this isnt my account ,just letting every one know

  • when are these look at life courses ?

  • @joolshirons there is one every week however there is a waiting list if you are at college see if they can arrange one for you or you can go to a navy careers office and ask about a look at life course for the royal marines :)

  • @PepperboyPARA i think im going to be doing that, im really keen on joing the mighty marines! thanks :)

  • @PepperboyPARA cheers ill be doing that then, really keen on joining those mighty marines

  • thanks alot

  • got me all chuffed for my PRMC! 2nd of november, I'm only 16 I'm shitting it.

  • @crouchtrac hahaha personally i didnt want to start at 16 you dont get to go to afghan or anything and your pension doesnt start until your 18 so i didnt see the point so im going in next year after i finish college :)

  • @PepperboyPARA I wanted to started asap! I couldn't wait any longer, even though I'll probably be on gash duty while everyone is out in Afghan :) good luck to you anyway buddy, use the time you have wisely and I'm sure you'll smash everything 1st time ;)

  • @crouchtrac

Im jealous of you mate =) lol how did you do on your psychometric test? im in two minds on weather to go to college and uni and apply as an officer or just jump straight in as a private lol best of luck tho mate

  • @JakkKEEy thank you buddy, I don't know how I did in my psychometric to be honest, the petty officer just walked in and said to whoever was left in the room that we all passed, he seemed quite blasé about it. I only got about half way through each section before I ran out of time so I initially thought I failed it :)

  • @crouchtrac

lol thanks mate thats calmed me down now about mine lol good luck with the training mate =) i'll join you soon =) lol

  • @JakkKEEy well best of luck mate, try some test booklets they help a shit load and make sure your doing plenty of running for your PJFT, stuff doing 3 miles, it's all about consistency over speed with that test so do about 6 miles ever other day and I'm sure you'll hack it no problem. I prepared for it by doing 3 mile runs and I payed for it because even though I just scraped it, I was still hanging out of my ass by the time the interview came 30 minutes later. :) so best of luck!

  • @crouchtrac

thanks mate thats great advice ill put that into my workout =) best of luck then bud =)

  • @crouchtrac

thanks mate thats great advice ill put that into my workout =) best of luck then bud =)

  • @crouchtrac

Im 16 and i have done PRMC. Endurance course is much harder than that. your non stop moving.. non stop doing push ups and thats after a beasting on bottom field!! good luck!!

  • @RoyalMarineN what advice would you give with regards to training for it mate? :)

  • @crouchtrac

Be the greyman!! Defo!! do not be too far ahead becaus ethey will beast you for being too good. do not be to far behind because they will beast you again. Do as they say at all time!!! do not scratch or anything stand perfectly still or you will get extra phy or everyone else will get extra phys!! you do not want it!! We was in stress postition against a wall for 10 minutes!! And never give up. it will be worth it at the end!! give 100% in everything. nothing less. Good luck!!

  • @RoyalMarineN thank you man, appreciate it, are you in recruit training now?

  • @crouchtrac No... I Didnt pass. Got right to the end and then they said I failed on points. 60 people started off and I was one of the 35 that were left at the end. all I needed was 10 more push ups and 5 more sit ups and would of passed!! was gutted but im out training nonstop now ready to pass in december.!! I know this might sound a bit gay uswell but get some of them blister protection socks to wear underneath the socks they give you!! they actually work and its a lot less painfull!! lol

  • @RoyalMarineN unlucky mate, you should smash next time round in that case, thanks for the advice with the socks I shall be buying some!! out of the 35 left on the course how many actually passed?

  • @crouchtrac about 30 mate :) and yeh hopefully!!

  • My brother passed out back in May, the whole thing looks so amazing. I've already signed up and have the first part of recruitment next month, hopefully can move it along quickly after that. Looks really tough but really good. Can see the difference in my brother since passing out

  • Great video mate, cheers. I have my POC coming up and I'm sure that these exercises will be coming up. Thanks again mate

  • absolutely quality video! I have my PRMC on 28th September and this gives a great insight into what the endurance course will look like! brilliant

  • @pcrkid Cheeers mate! :D good luck on your PRMC!

  • cool vid im joining ive got RMAD in 9 weeks

  • Oh nice video m8. im signing up myself in 18 monthss n i cant wait for all that mud n water haha. cheers for the upload

  • haha its okay mate ive still got some more vids coming for the assault course so stay tuned :) and have you taken part in the look at life course? if you havnt i highly reccommend it! it shows you where you need to work on your fitness and stuff it has been a great help for me :)
