well usually people shouldnt bathe their hamsters.. But as long as u dont do it during cold seasons and u dry ur hamster straight after its ok. Well i wash him once he starts to smell or if i see him cleaning himself more often than usual or if he landed somewhere dirty.. =)

Hamsters are desert creatures, and it's bad for them to get wet. They don't need to be washed.

However, they will enjoy dust baths. Occasional access to a bowl with some chinchilla bath dust to roll around in will keep them clean and fluffy.
