I really love watching gymnastics, and I know a lot of people compare Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin, and I really like watching both of them. Although I really know nothing about gymnastics, I do prefer Nastia's style. In general I tend to prefer grace and elegance over power and strength, but there's no denying Shawn Johnson is amazing, too.
The only think I really believe is that shawn is like more american than nastia, maybe people feel like shawn could really reflect what americans are, Nastia is still russian wherever place you look at her. No offense but it could be a reason.

no i am serious, nastia's orignal score was lower then jackie fei, made it get higher. i am fine with shawn's silver its an amazing accomplishment, and so was nastia's gold medal, both amazing i mean imagene winning a medal in the all around at the olympics! and you say silver like its a bad thing! and acually shawn was on top for about 2 years, until the olympics, she and nastia both were 2 time national champions! and you ahve to admit they are the incredible gymnasts with diffrent styles

(jackies chinese name) well she was 2004 olympic gold medalist but no offense idont think the scores were messed up like that nastia is way better than her. why? chengfei really took a few step backwards..if you compare her 2008 perf to her 2004 perf. she did mess up a lot as well if anyone shawn is nastia's only close rival in the 08 olympics

she was going to go, but she dropped out of being beam specialist becuz she and her dad both agreed that she really hasnt had any vacation time since the olympics. which is true, she went on that stars of gymnastics tour for like 2 months and then she had to do other things related to the olympics, and when she was finally done, she went strait back to the gym. it was all over the newspapers in my city (dallas)
WOW !! Now that's a meet worth being at !! I soo wanted to go but the flights and hotels were crazy expensive. I'm definitely going to London 2012 though no matter what !
